I absolutely can't stand it when parents buy their kids vehicles. It's to the point that it's almost an expectation.

Saved up for a while for a new car. My first car was kinda inherited because my dad died and I got his 2003 Toyota Echo. Which was hella ghetto but it drove. Just last week I bought a 2015 Subaru Legacy lightly used. (By a single large check so no monthly payment.) I can't say it was all me though because I had about $10,000 inheritance left. But the other $15,000 was mine, from various jobs mainly from being a lifeguard.
