It's because it's much easier to miss. You have to think about your arc time, moving target and if it can even reach that far. It's easy to miss too when the target is running and jumping like a mad man. GG is point shoot. Instant kill with a trigger pull. Yeah you have to aim but you also don't have to worry about arc time or distance.

But it has quite a sizable radius of lethal explosion.
