I have a friend who is downright godly with a fusion rifle. He gets the most amazing hate mail so often it is incredible one person can generate so much rage.
-
Practice in these small gamemodes like Elimination or skirmish or for quick thinking play Rumble.

Edited by R0meo4125: 12/1/2015 5:55:04 AMI usually play with low aim assist snipers, but can't find one in ttk that is one. I used to use efrideets and such and I would get mad headshot kills even without the final round. But I don't always use snipers, I change secondary from sniper to shotgun more specifically the chaperone depending on map, or sometimes fusion or sidearm.
-
Practice using non meta weapons in normal crucible. This way when playing competitive pvp you can switch to the meta and outgun a lot of people.
-
Trials -snipers Reg crucible-shotgun. I never liked fusion rifles in crucible, side arms can be fun but are outclassed by the other stuff usually
-
When starting i would use a pulse rifle, sidearm combo. Squeeze a sniper in there sometimes when you feel comfortable. Honestly a shotgun doesn't require any skill so use it if you're having a bad day
-
The best piece of advice I can give you is dont assume you will get good by using a certain weapon. As much as people say it on the forums, nothing in this game is overpowered right now and using a certain weapon/subclass wont make you better.
-
Use the meta
-
I'm not great at pvp by any means but have been enjoying side arms with a scout. Very situational though.
-
Well first and best tip for beginner's. Take it slow and get used to the feel of the guns. Than when you do you can run around with year two nlb and angel of light and kill everything in your path like da proz do
-
Start with a low aim assist sniper and then move up to a high one, by doing this you can effectively train yourself to dominate with most if not all snipers.
-
If you're just starting def go with shotgun.
all the pros use snipers though
Edited by Sobieske: 12/1/2015 11:54:56 PMFor regular pvp: Plan C, last weeks monte carlo style auto from the gun smith. Bretomarts stand. (Stock for this last IB.) Trials: NLB (or a DO stock scout or stock/Counterbalance nirwens mercy,) conspiracy theory D, and and rocket with proxy det.
-
My normal load out is: Last Extremity 1000 Years Stare w/ tacsys Quillims or IB HMG
-
Rule no1 If you want a higher kd..die less
-
Idk why people aren't picking fusion rifles lol there are a lot of good ones that are easy to use and they beat out shotguns easily
-
Shotguns - easy to use, high reward Snipers - takes learning, once learned can be deadly Fusions - map knowledge and predicting will be your best bet Sidearms - great when used with a long range primary
-
Here's my advice Play calm. That's it. If you get upset, you won't play well. Pvp is a mental game, and your success will depend on your mentality and timing
-
Snipers are the most rewarding in my opinion, but you have to be good to get that reward. Sidearms are going to be good after patch, and fusions might actually hold their own. Shotguns might be gone though, not sure. Still expect to see invective and chaperone though. Chaperone will be the best shotgun in the game, get good with it, and it will be insane. Hard to get, but only TLW kill part.
-
Really? 60% say sniper? Some of you turds are lying because I know that many people don't use snipers right now
-
Telesto, that gun stole my heart.
-
With the nerfs and buffs coming in December snipers won't be affected much and shotguns are getting a bad nerf plus there's the buff to fusion rifles so many I would say sniper or fusion dependant on your play style
-
If youre playing agressive either shottie and any close to mid ranges primary The other way is to use a sniper and tlw but this Requires lots of quickscoping and jumpsniping abilities For defensive use either a Fusion or Sniper
-
I use invective cus "SWEET JESUS THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!" Is my catchphrase.
-
Sniper because shotguns are being hit hard with the nerf
-
On my Titan I use invective or conspiracy theory. Only use high rate of fire shotguns if they have lots of range and full auto. If not make sure it's a high impact high range shotgun. Or you might as well not bother. On warlock and hunter I snipe as fusion and sidearms are not to my playstyle. I recommend 1000 yard stare or the eirene. Both are great snipers able to 1 shot off of rez. Don't blink shotgun coz that is gay.
