Its true. Slugs basically have no range penalty. Bird/buck shots can go quite a ways as well. This range that is as far as melee is absurd. But again, realism is completely different from video game logic. If real life range played a role... [spoiler]The Caparone would be the only shotgun to kill from across the map, no matter the map.[/spoiler]
