This is a fed off of other threads complaining about the state of the #Feedback Forum.
I've been in some form of Customer Service for over 20 years and a key component of being able to service customers correctly is failing. That is being able to hear what your customer is saying and having those thoughts be organized and categorized correctly.
You may think there just not listening, I wonder how they can listen correctly with all the non-feedback posts that fill up here.
There are many people here looking to provide feedback on the game they are still playing. However this section of the forums that is supposed to be for Feedback to make the game better is littered with complaints about Bungie and Activision. Many from people who are not currently playing. Some who have not played in almost a year and have not payed into TTK at all.
While many will argue that they still have a voice here (and I'm not saying they don't, I just question why they're still here) I do not feel that it should be mixed in with current game feedback.
If you look at the list of Defined Feedback section in The forum Categories list it's all related to the current state of the game. There should be something there akin to feedback about the Developer and/or Distributor. Somewhere to place all the complaints and thoughts about Bungievision so they're not pushing real game feedback down the list. Maybe even change this one to #GameFeedback or something to differentiate.
Make this section relevant to the game again. This way those of us who still care about the game have the option of filtering out the hate without having to mute them all. I personally only mute/report offensive posts, not people voicing their opinion. I'd rather debate with someone i don't agree with then mute them.
All I'm looking to do here is allow for real and current game feedback to be the priority for this section of the Forums. Anything else should be separate.

People need to report none feedback so it gets moved.

It's nice to see a constructive suggestion, they don't come around very often. So I'll indulge. There definitely needs to be a severe overhaul of the forum. I do think a large part of the problem lays in the companion app, and how easy it is to post, which in my opinion is largely to blame for irrelevant, pointless topics. Really, I feel like a lot of the duplicate threads saying the same thing, such as 'nerf sunbreakers' should be merged so that people who want scroll through the feedback section can do so without seeing the same three threads 19 times out of 20. I can get behind the idea that players who don't play shouldn't be able to post, though it wouldn't surprise me if some people played just the right amount to be able to post on the forums and fill it with nonsense. One thing that I don't believe you mentioned (Apologies if you did, I'm under the weather and having to focus to make such a coherent post!) is that there also still some who could be classed as 'Bungie Fanboys' still posting threads with no relevance. They're few and far between now compared to all the hate. One particular example recently has been a certain poll that has nothing but positive options, drawing so much negativity as to even spawn an insulting counter-poll. I've seen a couple of other's recently that basically say 'Great job Bungie, game is 100% perfect. It's not really appropriate to state my view on any of this, but just as you state that the toxically negative threads must go, so must these overwhelming positive threads - they're the same amount of useless, just at the other end of the spectrum. Long story short, feedback forums should be for constructive criticism, suggestions, and real game issues.
