Luke smith is a guy who can't let go of making a burnout loot grind in his destiny game. He can't figure out how to add matchmaking to normal mode raiding and save premades for hard modes. He can't figure out how to let everyone get to max light level without burning out. He just can't hit that magic balance of letting a players make "meaningful" progress every single time they login until they hit the max light level. Part of it is that he is getting huge numbers of sales on the game and expansions, which convinces him that he is "mostly" right on everything he is doing. Just a rich guy going "did you see how much money we just brought in?" The ONLY thing shaking his faith is the shitty metacritic reviews.
