My body is ready. Why is it that the main forum seems to be full of entitled individuals that expect too much? You probably pre-order games and their expansion packs before the game comes out. I for one was never on the hype train to begin with. Don't let your mind have high expectations, you'll just be let down. What happened to the days when you let your imagination fuel your hype? Is it the same as someone telling you how to react? I give all the credit to the marketing team, but come on. They do that for a reason. What if you lived under a rock until release day? What if you refrained from gaining any knowledge about the game? I asked these questions because of the expectation factor that plays into the hype, but alas the times have changed.
In addition, don't feed into the Destiny content creators that spill their opinions all over you, so form your own! You feed into the "nerf" system. Imagine if players found weapons that work for themselves. This is how I think susceptible viewers form "their opinions" "Oh, he/she is a really good player, and they tell me to use X gun to git gud" But wait, there's more! There is no more.
I bought the initial game as is, without the expansion packs. Tried it out and fell for the trap that Bungie set for us. Smooth gun play, and a broken loot system is one hell of a combination. I knew that I was going to continue with the game, so I purchased the content on its release day. I just hoped the next content provided more than the last, and it did. I got exactly what I wanted. An expansion of the game. Moar content!! However, there seems to be a recurring theme with Destiny. I'll let you all discuss that in the comments.
I sometimes wish gaming never hit the mainstream. End of rant. ;)
