I feel like your recent KD ratio is what matters more. People seem to place the weight on the all time more than the recent.
If a person's all time ratio is much lower than their recent, then that means that they are improving.
My all time KD is only 1.3, which is considered bad by most players and I am ashamed of it being so low. My recent KD is 2.0, which is albeit still quite low, but much better. The low count on all time is because of the fact that during Vanilla and Dark Below I was a terrible PvP player, but I played it a lot, and therefore have hundreds of games with around a .5 ratio staining my record.
What do you think matters more and why? Do you think that all time or recent is the better value to look at when determining a player's skill?

I dont judge kd really. High kd usually just means your a good slayer which is only one position
