Mechanic
Class Item: Tools. Different sets will be displayed along their waist depending on the class items equipped. Displayed in front.
Melee: Mechanic's Melee in each subclass is special in the fact that it drains slowly as the use presses the melee button, but deal damage over time as well. To Further explain, the melee's in full would do the same amount of damage as normal melee, but they do damage over time and the melee charge drains over time as well. You could use it to about half-way and continue to use it later, but if it completely empties you would have to wait for until your melee charge is completely filled.
Able to use their light to bend the will of man made machines. These guardians were once thought to be lost, even rumored to be banished from the system by The Nine, but are now in bound to The Last City once more. With their fearsome arsenal of weapons we may have hopes of winning the war against the darkness.
Common perks in columns 5:
Builder: Armor and Recovery
Crafting: Armor and Agility
Destroyer: Agility and Recovery
Common Perks in column 7:
Engineering: Agility and Armor
Design: Armor and Agility
Ingenuity: Armor and Recovery
Jump: Jet Boots: Second jump shoots persons in the direction the movement control stick is pointed.
Perk 1: Increased Height
Perk 2: Second Burst: Enables a second burst after the original.
Perk 3: Afterburners: Increased speed.
Solar Sub-Class: Injector
Super: Flare
Special Grenade: Flare Grenade.
Melee: Solar Torch. An ether torch modified by the Mechanic to emit solar light.
Using their knowledge of Solar light and weaponry, they use this power to create a weapon that fires an orb of solar light that draws in their opponents. Said orb can be detonated after an allotted time or by the user themselves. They can also throw a grenade that creates a giant pillar of solar light, causing the enemies in it's path damage over time and causing them to burn as well.
Arc Sub-Class: Welder
Super: Mechanization
Special Grenade: Sparrow Grenade
Melee: Arc Saw. A blade made of pure arc light to shred the enemies armor.
The Welder uses the Arc energy to manipulate heavy golden age weaponry into small exoskeleton of sorts. While using this power their armor is increased. They gain a heavy machine gun that slowly drains their power and seeking Arc Missile that drain it much more rapidly. After use the arc power disintegrates the exoskeleton. They use a special type of grenade that summons 3 miniature, levitating, self-function probes that track opponents continuing to blast them until they expire.
Void Subclass: Computer (before anyone says anything, I looked into this and one of the original Definitions for computer is someone that makes calculations, especially with a calculating machine)
Super: Enhance
Special Grenade: Glitch Grenade.
Melee: Void Virus. A blast of a void mist that contaminates the air infecting and weakening the attacks of the opponents and slowing them down.
Computers are a different type of Mechanic. Instead of using their knowledge to build weapons, they use it to better their fellow Guardians, themselves, and their weapons. They can boost a number of stats for their allies, but also use the same knowledge to weaken their foes and even stop them in their tracks completely. They also use grenade that confuses the enemies readings, making them see friend as foe to cause infighting or completely disabling their weapons or shields.
Edit: Added info on their special grenades as well.
Edit 2: Class Item added.
Edit 3: Added Common Skills and Jump Skill.
Edit 4: Added Melees and description of their properties.
Edit 5: To the people saying things about TF2. This is nothing like the engineer. Please, stop reading just the title before you comment.

So we have the Titans, the mighty warriors who protect the Wall and keep the Last City safe. We have the Hunters, the brave scouts of the frontier, the reclaimers of the places lost to Darkness. We have the Warlocks, the intelligent scholars who keep our knowledge safe. And then we have the Mechanics. They build stuff. That's pretty much it.

This isn't tf2
-
I can't be the only one who thought of tf2 when I saw fourth new class: mechanic
-
Great idea. But u would make the supers be. Solar: welder flame- summon a giant welding torch that shoots forward flames at enemies. Arc- that saw thing is thrown and can travel through walls and stuff but goes in a straight line. No tracking Void- Idk. Suggestions????

Paladin: "Reclaim our people's will." Paladin focuses on having armor, recovery, and agility balanced out. This class has recently been discovered, it is still unknown as to how the Paladin class originated but many warlocks at the tower say that the light they possess contains signs of Titans, hunters, and warlocks. The role Paladins play in the tower is yet to be determined. Paladin's super: "Soulful Will" Burning Will cloaks the user in fire that is colored white. This variation of solar energy manipulation is commonly referred to as Soulful Fire. This is due to the fact that when the Soulful Fire makes contact with an enemy of the darkness it turns completely black. The Paladins that are skillful enough to use this super have reported voices that explain the way the died to the darkness, and at the end of their tragic story the last words they mutter are "avenge us". Much is unknown about the Paladins and some are doubtful of their existence. Bump if you want me to continue :)

I like it. But man it seems really OP with all those perks.

Edited by A Cabal: 11/29/2015 7:35:19 PMAnother idea: Improve the use of vehicles in destiny
-
The problem is that at this point the only thing that would define a new class would be the super. Pretty sure at one point Bungie was play testing 4 classes and they said it felt stale. Don't remember where I read it. Probably in that ign promo stuff.
-
I just don't think a mechanic fits in real well with a titan hunter and warlock but they do need another class
-
Well... Sparrow grenade gave me an idea. Replenisher Grenade: Sticks to surfaces and has a 1 meter radius of effect. Detonates on impact. Heals vehicles and Guardian shields within its radius. That could fit in well for an "Engineer", perhaps.
-
I would like to see a new faction and storylines within the faction. Yesterday I was explaining to someone why they should join a faction and they said "that's it? No storyline?"
-
Sounds pretty thought out and cool.
-
I would kill for a all melee class. I can't truly have my playstyle until Destiny or Destiny 2 includes one
-
we must have kinetic sibckasses.
-
Edited by Wayworn Wayfarer: 11/29/2015 2:51:14 AMI really like the idea! It needs to be refined a bit, but I'd love another subclass or two that is good for locking down chokepoints.
-
Name sounds out of place Other than that, it's wonderful
-
It could be like a mechanic that repairs golden age machinery, and all of is abilities are all gadgets and trinkets that look odd and corky but also slightly futuristic sometimes. There supers could revolve around the fact they are rebuilding old stuff, so they pull out a big gadget and work on it with a screw driver or a wrench as the animation.
-
I think we should be able to have a subclass that you can select from different elemental damages: Grenades: Solar, Arc or Void all stick and cause medium damage or have perks that are associated by each character Melee: Same as above Jumping: Standard options Supers: Selectable each available Recovery, Agility and others: standard options but can select if any have options for recovering from Solar, Arc or Void damage This would help from switching the different subclasses for the bounties.

AKA the Engineer from tf2
-
Baboon grenade, sends enemy to Orbit by Error Code: Baboon.
-
Have them affiliated with the the other faction in the game that isn't mentioned at all.
-
Sounds cool but would like to see some character art.
-
good job. you put real work into that :D
-
I want a summoner class so bad
I'll throw money at the screen for that
-
I'm all for a mechanic/engineer class.
