Snipers:
The weapon aims for you
ADS stability on par with shooting a weapon while prone with a tripod.
Accurate under fire.
Shotgun:
Requires you to be close enough to spit on your opponent to kill.
Requires a tactical mindset combining the elements of cover & maneuver to close within kill range without getting gunned down.
Tl;dr To be successful with a sniper you need average reaction time for the trigger pull (That's it!). To be successful with a shotgun you need situational awareness, good use of cover, and some balls.

I agree, but shotguns are a one shot kill up close, while snipers r only one shot to the head. That's what requires more skill. Plus, the maps in destiny r designed so that u can't just camp in one place and snipe easily. Shotguns u can hide, and as enemies come u just shoot them and they're dead. So really that why I think snipers require more skill than a shotgun. If u have any reasons why this is wrong then comment

100% agree, that's why I would love to see a primary / melee / grenade only game....no secondary, Heavy or super, that should help weed out the crutch users.

I've sniper and shot gunned, and trust me, running around Titan skating while you spam shotguns takes no skill, while sniping actually makes you aim and spacing yourself from the enemy.

Haha, no worries mate. I see where your coming from but i do not think the AA does as much as people think it does. You still have to aim at the head for ohk. But i def agree that those people that just camp and hardscope corner takes no skill but that's same with shotgunners.
