What needs more skill in PVP!? Sniper or Shotgun?
Just curious to see what majority of the forum users believe takes more skill. I am not talking about any other game, so please don't compare to anything else (BO3, Halo, etc)
Feel free to express your opinion why sniping/shotgun take more skill.
Happy trials folks!
**Btw if yall could bump or like the post so more people get to see it* would be greatly appreciated!**
snipers all day
Edit: Thanks for everyone's input! As many have said it really takes no skill for either weapon if your are just camping a lane/door**
-
There are good snipers that headshot you out of mid air and there is the crap snipers (90%) guardians who just preaimed doorways to get headshots.
-
Neither takes more skill in this game and never did or ever will.
-
Who needs blink shot gunning when you can rush with blink sniper!
-
I'm pretty shocked to see how many people picked sniper. Well... up until you realize this whole game is based around hiding and shooting guerilla shots
-
Sniper skill shits on shotgun skill lol. I can't believe this is a question.

Edited by A Wild Hunter: 11/30/2015 6:25:04 AMIt depends if your using the obviously broken or op secondaries. For instance year 1 final round snipers like efreedeets, shadow of veils, basically the high impact/aim assist snipers= no skill, Year 1 pre nerf felwinter, party crasher, matador= no skill
-
I can play both and I think SOME shotgunners require more skill than snipers. So Invective users, you're not more skillful. Same for you Fourth Horsemen rebels.

Fusion for the win
-
Non-camping sniper Enough said
-
Exactly. Ppl who hate on snipers are just salty shotgunners.
-
Honestly, if I wanted to, I could run conspiracy theory or 1000 yard stare, but I only use them for pve. I refuse to run broken shit in pvp because it ruins the game for others when someone uses OP weapons.
-
Aim assist sniping = no skill Sniper shotguns = no skill Fusions and sidearms ftw

Edited by The New Monarch: 11/29/2015 2:41:35 AMShotguns can be fun but don't require a lot of skill. Sniping doesn't necessarily take a lot either unless you're quickscoping or using one in close range or while being very mobile....so it's basically situational. Fusions take a good amount of skill because you have to know your weapon and its charge, projectile speed, range...and then be able to be ahead of your opponent with that shot. It's A TON of fun using a fusion but requires practice, especially because they're not all that great right now.
-
Camping in the back with a sniper takes no skill... but being aggressive and hitting your shots up close, that requires skill, Camping or just blink shotgunning does not require skill...but moving around smartly, evading, and stuff like that require skill, just less than a sniper, but you hardly see good shotgunners
-
Positioning / awareness vs thumb skill. Former is more important for a shotgun, later more important for a sniper.
-
Fusion rifles take more skill than both of those weapon types combined. The nerf on high impact fusion rifles were real hard :(
-
Lmao there is no "skill" when it comes to Destiny. I used to think there was... went flawless every week at least once. I used to snipe all the time but when I started playing BO3 more (at 11 sensitivity), Destiny's sensitivity feels like a slug and is throwing off my snipes. So this weekend, I used the most skill-less gun.... a shotgun. And I must say... they take literally zero skill to go flawless. You shotgun scrubs are a joke.
-
At this point, they are both scrubby and take no skill. It all depends on who you ask.
Snipers. ♥
Sidearms take the most skill
-
Hello? Sidearms? Hello?
-
sidearms and fusions
-
Where is the sidearm option. We are almost upon the age of the scout sidearm or NLB sidearm
-
Side arm
-
Snipers requires the most amount of skill of any weapon type... shotguns requires the least amount.
-
Fusions/Sidearm Option
-
Has anyone else ever wondered why people call sniper rifles "snipers"?
