I love destiny and its been awesome to play since the beta, but sadly im leaving the game for some time. Im joining the marines and leaving for bootcamp this Sunday. Its been great being able to play with the few of you i could and i hope i can be back to playing it soon!!!!
EDIT: thank you all so much for the responses, i didnt think this would blow up like this. The support from all of you in the community is amazing and i really appreciate all the tips and tricks im getting for success. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
EDIT: To everyone saying its for attention, my primary goal of posting this is the fact ive been playing for a long time, ive grown to love this game and the people i play with. It may not have been you or anyone you know but for the few that do then hey i had a great time playing with you and cant wait to play again. Im not an attention whore or whatever i just love the game and the community. But rather then be another "I'm leaving destiny" post like you see every other day, id put my reason for leaving.

Edited by D1sturbed0311: 11/27/2015 8:08:11 PMDon't be a -blam!-ing boot and cover yourself in moto tats, 5.11 gear and boot camp t shirts. JTTOTS will be watching you.. Very, very soon.
-
Good Luck!
-
Cheerio but be back soon.
-
The amount of stupid posts in this thread is way too damn high.
-
Thank you! Be safe man.

Edited by SandeyRavage: 11/27/2015 6:01:55 PMHope it's mcrd cali and not Paris island. Also, two things: never let your di hear you say "eat the apple, f the corp" and get ready for the creepy ass fan club this country has for a dude doing a job. I signed up for a better paycheck than wendys, not the floozies. Also, don't date anyone seriously till you're a few years outa boot. Gold diggers, gold diggers everywhere. They can smell it on ya.

Good luck!!!! Boot camp isn't that bad and once it's over you will look back on it and realize it wasn't so bad.
-
Don't be a boot. Good luck.
-
If your leaving for the marines you won't be back soon sorry brother. Much respect but it's going to be a road
-
Going to join the Royal Marines will make a man of you. Its one of the hardest hardest groups to complete after the paras and commandos. Good luck and stay alive

Edited by moke: 11/27/2015 7:48:33 PMKeep in mind that you don't respawn in real life. Be careful :P

You are about to learn the true meaning of teamwork. These next few weeks will be the best and the worst of your life....the best part will be viewable down the road a few years, right now it will just be the major suck. Sarogat is exactly correct. Those simple rules will get you through. You WILL violate one of them sooner or later. If I could add anything it would be : Do EXACTLY what you are told WHEN you are told to do it, nothing more, nothing less.

World record for longest game of clash

Remember not to use crucible tactics!

Hope God guides you on your way there and back home!

Buena fortuna.

Remember the only easy day was yesterday
unsure if that is the marines but it suits the military very well
It won't be anytime soon. Get ready to be nothing but minute after minute of trying to frustrate you. It's fun. Don't be the guy that cries. Or piss the bed. Or wake up with morning wood. Or fall asleep during classes. Like marching? Literally most of your day is spent learning how, and running in circles. Nothing you do or say will be right, don't think there is a correct answer. When you go do the gas chamber, they will try to trick you into screaming out your platoon number. Don't, it's so you can't hold your breath. Breathing cs gas sucks. Do it as little as possible. Don't be the guy that tries to escape either. You will go in with everyone if you do. Good luck future devil dog.
