The perks for rocket launchers go as such:
Tripod mandatory everything else is irrelevant maybe there is an argument can made for the validity of quickdraw
Now I want to make it clear i don't think rockets are overpowered or underpowered, I THINK THEY ARE BORING
I want to see some fun interesting perks here is a couple i just came up with
Bombardment: fires its entire magazine in one shot.
this is cool because it provides synergy with other perks like tripod and clown cartridge. With most rockets the target you were shooting at is already... gone, and in a boss fight this perk is still going to have to compete against the sustained damage of machine guns. at the same time it could find use in situations with elite threats with limited time to respond.
StickyRounds: delayed explosion like telesto
MacroShot: huge shotgun rounds that shoot small explosive projectiles
Vacuum: explosions leave a vacuum that suck in enemies
I'm sure there is a lot more cool ideas swimming in my skull
i would also like to see rocket launchers with a little more variety in there design like a 4 or 5 round rocket launcher that shoots weaker rockets
Edit: didn't justify why with bombardment, firing your whole magazine isn't broken

I like these ideas and think the would be nice, but some of them sound more like supers and I worry that implementing something like this could accidentally make rockets overpowered. They would need to be implemented in the right way.
-
Serious Bump. Because RL are really boring as heck as they are now.
-
Cluster bombs that drop bomblets. First click launches the rocket... second click initiates 'Rain of Death'. Like Wolfpack but released manually. Would require finess, but I can imagine a lot of fun :)
-
Laser Guided - Like Half-Life. That was so much fun - fire a rocket in the air and THEN aquire the target... SURPRISE MOTHERBLAMER!!!
-
-
Cool ideas, especially the weaker-higher ammo rockets. I've always wanted those. I want change like these to fusion rifles.
-
That's why we need a year 2 gally! Never boring
-
Ratchet and clank steerable missile or invisimissile
-
All of these ideas sound amazing, maybe you should send them to a developer that actually wants their fan base to enjoy the game. Bungie doesn't do fun, instead we get "Dragons Breath" lol at that colossal fukk up! That weapon should've gotten someone fired! Trash ass Bungie!
-
Something like valkyrie rockets from black ops or TV missile from battlefield.
-
Good ideas. I wish the truth made things disintegrate in void light or create a vortex (like dark matter cannon in quake) that's was a beast!! I always wanted the truth to have a cooler perk. In terms of visuals. It's a pvp monster already, but would REALLY love the disintegrate effect on it.

Rockets have one job. Once you try to throw a bunch of bells and whistles on them, they lose effectiveness. Half of those perks sound like more fodder perks to avoid. And the last thing we need is more fuel for the RNG.
-
They should play infamous for rocket launchers ideas
-
Tether Rockets

Edited by Lordbakon: 11/27/2015 2:56:02 AMAIRSTRIKE!: This rocket fires like a mortar, arcing up and then down
-
All they have to do is play borderlands one and they can see some fun rocket launchers
-
Lol creativity in destiny? I don't think that's how this game works
-
Only reason I put such emphasis on tripod is im a super tryhard who doesn't miss his shot so horseshoe and tracking are meh
-
-
I would like to see these as exotics, but not legendaries. The purples are your work horses and the exotics should be the unique and interesting weapons with a new twist on their archetype
-
Frost rockets would be neat too, freezing enemies or leaving a frozen orb that blocks line of sight
-
I loved all those ideas! That's beautiful! Hey bungie, you hiring? Give this guy a job lol. But seriously I'd love to see any one if not all of those.BUMP! keep them coming. XD
-
???? Tripod more useful than Grenades and Horseshoes in PvP Tripod more useful than tracking in PvE Guess I don't understand life anymore.
-
I actually totally agree. I just want tracking on a pve launcher, or tripod. It's easy to get both. Other than that, all I want is blast radius and velocity. Yawn. Anything without that is pretty useless, even if it could be fun.
-
Bump, love the ideas... :)
