Best gear in the game? Weapons, armor, power armor, etc.
This is what I have (cross post from reddit)

These are my primary weapons. Couldn't find any weapons better.
Heavy Combat Chest, Legs, Arms all fully upgraded + ballistic weave MK VI military fatigues and battered fedora = 345 Ballistic and Energy defense.
X01 MKVI fully modded power armor = 1880 Ballistic and 1440 Energy Defense.
I want the Gauss Rifle as a weapon for pure raw damage as well. But other than that I can't think of any other weapons are armor that are statistically better.

You are missing the best one. PLASMA RIFLE. Mine does 140 ballistic and 140 energy damage= 280 However, if you have a bleeding plasma rifle like me here :3 (25 bleed damage) that's a total of 305 damage per shot on a rifle ;) And yhea then there is rail gun which does like 440 but much slower fire rate than my PR

Let's see i run around with big boy, a four barrel middle launcher, maxed out 10mm pistol, .45 scoped revolver, plasma sniper, justice shotgun, awesome laser rifle, and 2 versions of overseers guardian (glitched lol) one is a combat rifle for close encounters and another is .308 sniper with silencer and short scope.
