You're literally paying real life money for your character to do a 2-10 second action. You cannot justify this. You can make excuses and I'll post your excuses for being a child using their parents credit card below. When you pay for emotes you are showing AAA companies that they can take stuff out of their game that better games give for FREE and sell it. I understand the type of audience who buys silver....and that audience is classified as the casual gamer. Not real gamers.
I love how I make a spelling mistake because I'm human and since you guys have no real valid arguments to make you choose 1 grammatical error. Only proves my point that you don't know how to spend money wisely.
Excuse #1: It's my money.
Excuse #2: I make (put exaggerated amount of money made per year here) and I can afford it.
Excuse #3: Don't worry about my money! (They know they're wrong and are trying SO HARD to justify something that just isn't justifiable).
Almost 50 replies and only 3 poor excuses have been made. Proving my point again....
I think you guys have tired yourself out. I just had to sit through the snot nosed kids coming in trying to justify purchases for EMOTES...I legit think I have cancer now. Thanks Density.
To the kids who think that I'm poor...I make well over 250k a year. Money aint nutin. Because I know you guys still can't come up with any good logical reasons as to why you pay for emotes other than you like Bungie screwing you over. Still waiting on that person but I'm starting to lose hope that there will be someone who can explain it logically.
SOMEONE FOUND A LOGICAL REASON TO GET AN EMOTE!
Because Microsoft paid for it by giving me codes worth $5-$10
You guys disagreeing with facts have produced more salt than every single salt factory in the galaxiez.
You cannot justify this.
I wanted an emote, so I bought it. It's a simple justification.
You can make excuses and I'll post your excuses for being a child using their parents credit card below.
And what if I bought it with my own money that I earned? Oh sorry, that goes against your beliefs.
When you pay for emotes you are showing AAA companies that they can take stuff out of their game that better games give for FREE and sell it.
2 things: I do believe it just shows I want an emote, and yes, because all the emotes were actually in the game before it launched but they took them out. That's totally what happened.
I understand the type of audience who buys silver....and that audience is classified as the casual gamer. Not real gamers.
Oh no! The filthy casuals are ruining everything again! Tell me, what do you call a real gamer?
I love how I make a spelling mistake because I'm human and since you guys have no real valid arguments to make you choose 1 grammatical error. Only proves my point that you don't know how to spend money wisely.
Who are you to tell people how to spend money? And yes, people will point out grammatically errors. It makes you look like an idiot. Ooh, edits!
Excuse #1: It's my money.
Yes, it is my money. Which means I can use it to buy whatever I want. I earned it, I spend it.
Excuse #2: I make (put exaggerated amount of money made per year here) and I can afford it.
Right, you know exactly how much people make and how much the exaggerate it.
Excuse #3: Don't worry about my money! (They know they're wrong and are trying SO HARD to justify something that just isn't justifiable).
While I do agree, you are not in a position to be worrying about how other people use their money.
Almost 50 replies and only 3 poor excuses have been made. I just had to sit through the snot nosed kids coming in trying to justify purchases for EMOTES...I legit think I have cancer now. Thanks Density.
This is like saying: My Mom Died! Thanks Destiny! You could've avoided your stupidity by not worrying about how people use their money, but you obviously know what's best for everyone, so continue.
To the kids who think that I'm poor...I make well over 250k a year. Money aint nutin. It may not be logical to you, but it is.
SOMEONE FOUND A LOGICAL REASON TO GET AN EMOTE!
Because Microsoft paid for it by giving me codes worth $5-$10

Oh, now I see what you mean by logical! You mean not paying at all! Okay, I understand. Anyways TL;DR: OP is fgt who thinks he knows what people should waste their money Edit: one thing I forgot. This post is just a giant fallacy. You assume everyone who buys the emotes are children, steal their parents money, and are casuals that somehow ruin everything, and they're not real gamers either. This is just assumption and ignorance at its finest. I also seriously doubt you make 250k per year.

Hey, it's my money I earned. So FCCCCCCCCUK YOU
-
Edited by Brick: 11/27/2015 2:13:00 AMI can justify it in one statement: It's my money, and I'll do whatever I want with it after my responsibilities are taken care of. No way in hell this clown makes 250K.
-
Someone making over 250k a year, would not make such a stupid post.
-
The kind of person that differentiates between "real gamers" and "casual gamers" doesn't hold a shred of credibility in an argument of maturity. It is a video game. You pay money to press buttons to watch things happen that will inevitably amount to nothing. How is this different from buying an emote?
-
Well, basically every youtuber/streamer bought them. Sure you'd laugh if I said Mr Fruit or Gothalion bought them all, because you'd say Mr Fruit is a child and Gothalion always rides bungie's d¡ck anyway. but other people like nKuch and sc_slayerage bought them as well.
-
Tl/dr: but I love my bow emote I feel it sits well after a good kill spree.. Call me dumb but it's my money so I don't give a fuq what you think about my spending habits if I enjoy with what I get, why should you try to impede?
-
You make well over $250,000 a year? Nice exaggeration chump.
-
Oh boo hoo someone else made a decision to spend some money. Grow up who cares what people do with their money, losers thats who.
-
Decided not to piss away 3 cups of Starbucks coffee and bought emote ;). Just kidding don't own one still have the 400 silver. Holding it for something meaningful if that ever happens.

Edited by Viron117: 11/27/2015 2:01:15 AMCharacter emote = waste of money, only for entertainment Character emote = enjoyment to user/others Video games = waste of money, only for entertainment Video games = enjoyment to user/others But that's none of my business... Edit: ooooooo i just saw your name! im sorry but this is too good a chance to pass up.
Dr Wrong ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) because what your saying is an opinion, and therefore cant be right.
So what your saying is that you're complaining that people spend money on a game, the same game that you bought, with 2 different expansions, and on top of that with a ps4/Xbox, and a tv, most likely a chair and a table to set the tv on. Also included in that electricity and an ac/heater for the seasons you probably spend playing this game and making terrible rants on the forums about. But you want to complain that some people want to spend a measly 10 dollars on silver coins because maybe they are a collector, maybe they find it fun, maybe they enjoy using different emotes to express the way they feel. Wouldn't you have better stuff to spend you're money on? Maybe instead of making this post you could be raking my yard for 10 dollars so you could afford the silver coins you are so envious of. That is all

"I make 250k a year" but I argue with kids and post on video game forums...... ..... ........ Really??
-
I agree with you, I will admit I did want to buy the Enthusiastic dance emote (I'm 14 btw) but I'm not. It's a waste of money. You could use that money to buy a cheap Indie game or something that is probably better than Destiny right now, there is not much to do on this game anymore, I see why so many people left to Fallout 4 and COD Black Ops 3 (Personally I'd choose Fallout 4) This also brings me to state that This game and others are encouraging Kids and Teenagers (not me because I know right from wrong) to do the wrong things. There are things out there in the world that even Adults shouldn't do (-blam!-,Rob,Mug. Although I think Mug comes under rob, not sure) But I can guarantee that most of the bad people out there were encouraged by Violent games such as GTA 5, I do not play these games as I don't want to be a person who does all this and ends up in jail. I personally think games such as GTA 5 (again) should not even be made and sold. Sooner or later there will be more extremely violent games, the violent outside in the real world will increase as Technology grows (I couldn't remember the word to go where grows is) I know many people probably didn't read all of that but if you did and I made a good point please let me know.

I like your part where you say (some exaggerated amount) then say you make 250k. You literally used an excuse you are bashing out. Smh you don't make 250k a year. Hell you haven't earned 250k in your life making post like this.
-
Nuff said yous right
-
I can justify spending $5, less than 30 minutes of work for an emote I may use several hundred times by now. Say the average is 6 second, 10 emote uses =1 minute. So 300 emote uses and the emote has paid itself off in enjoyment.
-
so... you're broke? I'm confused.
-
I just have the 2 free ones you got at the beginning, sorrow and tantrum
-
my money and I'll spend it just how I want it just like you
-
I've spent no money, not even the free silver Not based on any principle other than I don't care
-
Why would you buy destiny? You're literally just paying real life money to do something digital!
