Bungie has no ethics.

So, once again Iron Banner has been cut short with inadequate warning. Tweeting an announcement that Iron Banner will be cut short is not only inefficient but also something Bungie said they would never (exclusively) do again. There was supposed to be a stickied thread on the forums, but even then that's not enough. If they can put an alert for refer a friend in game, they can do the same for their Iron Banner ending announcements. The people making decisions at Bungie seem to be intent on lying to us repeatedly and then doing the exact opposite of what they said they would or wouldn't do. Remember how Deej said that they didn't want us to have to leave our favorite weapons behind when HoW came out? They turned around and made us leave our year one weapons behind. Remember how they said Destiny would have a large explorable world? But instead we can't go 10 steps without being told to turn back. These are just a couple of examples. The bottom line is that lying is unethical, and it is ultimately a poor business practice that will push people away. Edit: In game there was no indication. Lord Saladin's timer should accurately reflect the intended cutoff time. There need to be in game announcements. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/175532163/0/0 Edit: Cozmo's reply to a post saying he'd make sure important information is stickied in the future. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/164742546/0/0/1

  • Bungie has been consistent in only one thing since Destiny has released....and thats their ability to go back on what they say. You're examples are true, but lets not forget when they said they wanted to lessen the progression through RNG. I liked being able to earn materials to buy endgame gear in PoE. Gave u a very linear path to the max lvl. Then they just reverted back to the RNG crap with the raid -_- oh heres an armor piece that has a 1 in 11 chance of being max. TTK did great with implementing quests but undid everything that HoW did right. Bungie has just been saying what people want to hear without delivery. There is no reason to shut it down even a minute early. What purpose does that serve. They do need to be more interactive with addressing issues. They are so vague with everything. Any issue in the game doesnt get brought up until the weekly update IF we are lucky. They leave the players to come up with their own theory about how the game works because they dont want to give any details on anything.
