This time last year we were getting hyped for the Dark Below. Although that DLC turned out to be lackluster, it still included additional content via the story missions, strikes, and raid. We got new exotics, new legendaries, new raid gear, and higher levels to achieve. I was so excited for the Dark Below I could hardly stand it; I even had trouble sleeping and just stayed up until the reset when it went live. This year...well there is no new content coming out; instead, we get Festival of the Lost type events for the silver that everyone shells out for emotes and such. Additionally, Bungie has instituted the Refer a Friend program in hopes of boosting sales. I for one am disappointed in this model. I would much rather spend $15-$20 for DLC that guarantees meaningful content. I want additional story that improves the lore. I'd like more strikes in the rotation, and maybe a fun raid even if it may be short. Also, the best way to attract new players and improve sales is with additional content that makes the product more attractive.
Let me know what you all think.
Do you like the DLC model?
or
Do you like the micro transaction model via silver?
And why of course.

Bungie is waiting for the cod, fallout 4, and battlefront hype train to slows down. Releasing dlc news now would make them look desperate.
-
Is everyone hyped for the return of a beast!!!
THE MIDA MULTI TOOL
-
Well seeing as Playstation Experience is around the corner perhaps we have a surprise waiting for us. If we don't hear anything from Bungie at that time then that wouls be a good time to start asking questions.

Edited by Sturm with no Drang: 11/24/2015 11:20:12 PMI'm beginning to notice a pattern here. Just a "cra-a-a-azy" theory here, but what if the devs at Bungie are actually trying to prematurely kill Destiny?
Any abortion jokes and you're officially, and legally documented as, "dead to me". *most serious face*
We're excited to get the exotics back we paid for last year ;D
-
Yeah... I feel guilty for buying into the silver nonsense. All I did was help Bungie fill their pockets with easy money and help set the tone for future content.. as such, Bungie thought process now: why bother providing additional content when these saps will pay for emotes! Luhlz... slow clapppp..
-
Other games because Bungie is killing Destiny.
-
Nothing. I'm done with destiny. Bungie got too much undeserved hype from me and they'll get no more.
-
-
Im hyping for a helmet from Oryx , who needs a new DLC this soon? Can i get a freakin helmet first, jeez.
-
You're leaving out the missions strikes and multi level raid. Suspected bias
-
We're hyping the december update and its new or new old exotics. Some of us. Many of us? The majority of us?

Edited by boff: 11/24/2015 8:39:59 PMBlack ops 3. I don't think bungie trying to create a good pve and PvP experience is working. It's time they make a decision and concentrated on one and scrap the other, weapon balancing is weakening pve....to try and balance a broken PvP which will never work properly until they fix the disgusting lag
-
Same. We want more content, emotes and refer a friend feel like theyre teasing their playerbase or something. I fear there's a stronger disconnect between Bungie and their Playerbase than we even imagine.
-
I'd much rather DLC, this is boring af. We should definitely be getting pumped for a new raid and story, etc. Definitely disappointing in that sense.
-
There is no hype... I mean come on.... What's better than year 1 gjallahorn? That's right nothing.
-
That dlc disappointed me that I didn't play for 2 months
-
They will announce something at PSX. Or shortly prior.
-
There is no hype.
-
I prefer the dlc or just a straight up sequel. I like the free events, and I also don't mind the cosmetic micro transactions. The refer a friend program is a good idea but it is executed horribly. Leaving last gen behind on it is ridiculous, you can't tell me that last gen consoles can't handle the shader, emblem, sparrow, and new sword. I play on 360 and on the one so it isn't like I'm complaining because I can't get it. There is nothing to be hyped about right now though and I doubt there will be any time soon.
-
Waiting for destiny 2, tbh
-
The only thing we have to look forward to is the re-release of some year 1 exotics and "weapon balancing" (not confident that it will actually be balanced based on the previous balancing attempts) other than that theres the challenge mode for the raid...... Nothing really substantial tbh, bit of shame
-
Prison of elders to return for 60$ and also more mines
-
We're hyping the comeback of time-gated Y1 exotics...
-
DLC model. No contest.
-
Uh... well... ...I'm really looking forward to someone modding Destiny weapons and armor into Fallout 4... (I pray to god for this to happen)
