Hello i have been a avid MMO fan for a number of years, and a day 1 Destiny player. I have been in hardcore world first guilds, and casual just hanging out guilds.
One thing i really wish Destiny had was match making for Nightfalls.
Now i know this may be a unpopular opinion, but i will say as someone who is a bit older and has a number of real life responsibilities i just do not have the time to spend looking for players for a raid, or wiping, or learning new encounters. The last and only time i tried to do Kings Fall normal it took nearly 3 hours and we didn't even kill Golgoroth due to people screwing around.
Its not that i am lazy its just i have work, school, kids, etc...
So i have a suggestion, why not have a Looking for Raid version of our Nightfalls?
World of Warcraft has something similar and its a model Destiny could easy copy.
Normal mode and Hard mode as we have it now would not change maybe you bump up the Light Level of the gear that drops in those to account for a new "LFR" Tier.
Add a LFR Version of our current Nightfalls, add in match making, and a new tier of legendary Light Level gear that's slightly under the current normal mode light level. Let players complete quests that require Nightfalls in LFR versions. Lower the difficulty and cut out some of the jumping puzzles with portals/zoning.
This benefits not just those of us who play the game casually as we finally get to enjoy content we would not normally be able to enjoy, but also allows players who are new to raids to learn some of the basic mechanics of the fights so its a easier transition from not raiding to raiding and makes those players better in Normal versions of the raids.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this.
