How does this work I'm a veteran. Does the newcomer have to not ever played destiny before on there gamer tag? Can someone please explain it.

I got it now a new player has 7 days from what they start playing to accept the referral link.

They aren't doing a good job at explaining this. Does the new player install and start the game before or after they accept the referral?
