Hit Detection in PVP - Please answer
Hi Bungie,
Before it comes to me, I would like to mention my speed and my current settings.
I have 100Mbps Verizon FIOS.
My XBOX is connected VIA LAN.
I have done PORT Forwarding and added all required XBOX ports.
My Current network speed is 89 Mbps download and 91Mbps Upload. With Latency of 71 MS.
Still my hit detection is really bad. My gameplay is not that bad. Still I lose battle most of the time because of this hit detection. Now when I play by myself, I am still alright, it happens but may 2 or 3 times per clash game.
When I play with friends(which I always do), it happens every other 30 second. Even when everyone is green bar in game.
I will try to add a video I recorded. Now I always go negative. Same weapon, I shoot first all burst in head and I die. Sometimes I get kill or assist after 3-4 mins.
I get really frustrated as well.
Bungie - I really deserve an answer. I have over 2700 hours in game and I would like to continue playing. I adjust as per weapon balancing. I really think, I deserve an answer or fix if you have any.
Also is it a known issue, if yes, then what is Developer's stance on it.

I've the same issue. When I play solo know PVP I go positive the majority of the time. Whenever I'm in a party I struggle. I can never seem to get the upper hand.

6 RepliesYour latency of 71 is only up to Xbox servers. Then it needs to make a hop all the way to Washington to connect to Bungie's end. Then another connection to whomever you're playing with. I wouldn't be surprised if your connection is > 100ms at that point. That could be the factor into your bad hit detection.
