According to the latest weapon balancing notes, The First Curse will refill its magazine upon activation of the first curse perk (critical kill). I'm wondering if switching weapons will still disable the first curse perk.
If this is the case, with a steady supply of low tier enemies, one could essentially swap weapons instead of reloading. When you're low on ammo swap to special weapon and back, then kill an enemy to refill your magazine again... rinse and repeat. Switching weapons is quite a bit faster than reloading, particularly with quick draw.
I'm not sure what my point is here, but this possible loop hole seems cheap and suggests that PvE wasn't given much thought when the fix was conceived. Hopefully the first curse perk effect persists until the next reload (like it's supposed to) regardless of weapon switching.
