Bungie, I know you hate sunbreaker but please don't nerf it to the ground like you always do.
Titans are overpowered as thorn used to be but in a form of a super, or final round. I can agree with that. But the only nerf I can agree with is a slight damage reduction to damage reduction of maybe tone it down to 40% and cut down the super time by 5-10 seconds.

What nerf do you think is necessary for Hammer of sol? (Please be considerate and not pick the worst one out of hatred)
If your answer is different from these, which they probably will be comment down so I can see. I really want to know how to balance sun breaker without it being too harsh, and we know Bungie would probably do a bad job.
Guys disclaimer: I love sunbreakers (I main a Titan, I am not a ignorant or not trying to be biased) but we all know they are going to nerf it, I want us to figure out what would be reasonable. Please just comment down want you would want if these options are stupid

7 RepliesSunbreakers really does not need nerfed due to it being a tank class also if anything the splash damage should be reduced. The only one hitters should be direct impact. Don't nerf it because it does what it's suppose to. Obviously you guys don't know how a mmo works.

As the post below me said, all supers with shields besides nova bomb, Hammer, and radiance have a 50% increase in armor. Nova bomb has 45% (no -blam!-ing clue why), and radiance and hammer have a 55% increase. Decreasing the armor by 25-40% would just ruin the point of the hammer because Titans are supposed to be heavily armored. People say "3 hammers!"... You must be 'special', because three hammers would ruin the hammer in pve (GG deals more damage than hos), and in crucible, it is much easier to get a kill with GG from my experience, as it is hits an compared to travel time, and hammers arc. Everything that you just said would ruin the sun breaker.

19 RepliesAll of supers have 50% armor and they last about 30 seconds! Why take it to 40% and 5 to 10 seconds?! You're being stupid! The armor is currently 55% which is because Titans naturally have more armor than all the other classes and because armor chest pieces give extra armor based on either a Arc, Void, or Solar subclass! They don't need a nerf! It's suppose to be like this. GET GOOD.

With the number of Hammers thrown, and the limitless range, it's far too easy to just keep getting single kills over the length of the super and constantly recharging your shields by killing the ONE GUY shooting at you. However... Adding even the slightest amount of difficulty (2 or 3 kills) to proc the Regeneration would be immensely more acceptable than the current setup.

7 RepliesSunbreakers are like shotguns. You either lover them or hate them, know how to deal with them or don't. They don't need a nerf or an adjustment they are fine like they are. Maybe if they had made Spoons of Sol you wouldn't be so upset but I doubt it. It's all this complaining that's ruining this game. Shit look what theyre gonna do to shotguns. Damage fall off starting at melee range. That affects PvE too ya know. Before it's over we'll be running around with whiffle ball bats and there will still be people complaining about how the red one is more op then the yellow one.

I main a Warlock, but I've found ways to counter Hammers. It's just that these whiny kids don't know any way to counter them because...well..they suck at the game and spend most of their time crying for nerfs. What needs to happen is that the other subclasses need to be buffed to be able to effectively match the power of hammers.

Making it 40% would be weaker than a blade dancer, just make it so that it's 50% but don't take cauterize

Decrease armor to 50% and then everyone's happy. Or just get rid of cauterize and replace it with something else.

Make it to where a headshot is a killshot. And either lower armor OR (not and) decrease super duration. Or take away health regeneration node.

3 RepliesI main a warlock but my Titan is my secondary character and I have more time on my Titan than most do on their main. The truth is that the Sunbreaker super is indeed OP. However everything else about the class isn't that great. In fact, truth be told, Striker was and still is the best Titan class. Yes Hammertime is a better super than Fist. But fist is still a good super. On top of that everything else about Striker is better from lightning grenade to shoulder charge. The Titan melee no matter the subclass is garbage. On top of that they are the only class without blink. No matter what anyone says these two things do put them at a disadvantage. The Titan needs to be way more methodical than the other two classes. It can be mentally taxing. I can totally understand why many who use Titans as their main are defending Hammer of Sol, because the Titan has so many disadvantages in other areas. Hammertime needs a slight nerf. Drop the armor 15-20% or put a cap on the amount of times it can heal. At the same time the Titan melee needs a buff.
