Cosmodrome, Forgotten Shore, Crack of Dawn
The snow, cold between my toes and bringing memories of old times and of my soon to be home. I wander to the edge of the shore and reach my hand down to feel the cold arctic sea. I pull my hands out and shiver, my hair frilling up at the coldness. I looked to the sky and sighed, this used to be home, used to be my safe place. I still recognize the scents, the feelings flying about, but it all seems so unsafe now.
I sit down and let the wind carry my hair, I close my eyes and begin to pray, my markings glowing, escaping reality on a spiritual level

As I looked down my scope, in awe of what I was seeing, my right-hand, Zavak, somehow summoned enough of his senses to turn to me. "Sir, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" I tore myself from the scope of my rifle to look at him. "If you're talking about the incarnation of adorableness down there, then yes, I am seeing what you are." He looked back through his scope, then back to me. "How... how can something that adorable even exist?" "Zavak, I've seen some of the strangest things this universe has to offer, and this still defies all of those combined." "How does it not explode, or implode, or whatever?" "Your guess is as good as mine, old friend." We paused to look at the tiny Vandal for a few more moments. It - she, I mentally corrected myself - seemed lost in thought as it knelt before the water. Zavak, again, was the first to break the silence. "So... what now?" I thought on that for a few moments, looking around at the surroundings before I answered. "Cover me while I make contact." "Awww, why can't I do it?" He asked, pouting - a hardened spec-ops soldier, actually pouting - as I stood. I smirked a bit despite myself. "Because I'm your commander, and I say so." I said, turning to head down as I heard him mumble under his breath. I made my way over to the small Vandal slowly, making sure to stick to cover until I got close enough. I was planning to state my presence, ask who she was, and her purpose here, completely according to protocol. Really, I swear, I was going to do that. Instead, she noticed me right before I could say anything, turning towards me, and I lost all control once we made eye contact. So, while I had planned to be very proffesional, what I actually did was squee like a tiny female human and glomp the little ball of cuteness. "Soooo cute!"

I yelp at the sudden jolt off movement and chirp out in fear, I squabble in the grip of a guardian that was holding me a little to tightly WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? I squeak out, clearly very dazed and confused by what just happened
Sorry, should have said, character is Eliksni. Here's the character sheet, if you want: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/172934107/0/0/1
At the indignant squeak, I came to my senses - somewhat, at least - and released the tiny female, standing back a bit and coughing into my fist in embarrassment. "Ah, apologies, I did not mean to startle you. I simply could not help myself."
-
I gather myself and shake out my hair, releasing grass and dirt, the marks on my cheeks slowly begin to fade back to a static image, I look at you, seeing as how tall you are, as most eliksni usually are I felt immediately inferior I tilted my small head and looked you in the eyes Wh-who are you?

Edited by Kell in a Cell: 11/21/2015 5:03:04 PMI strained to keep myself from glomping the little Vandal as I replied, trying to regain some of my usual composure. "First, I must ask, uh... who you are! Yes, that's how this goes. I think." I shook my head, trying again. "Who are you, and what is your purpose here?" I said, looking at the small, adorable little- No! Focus. Get the information and identify whether friend or foe. Then glomp.

I am, Aerile the Small, I am merely here to pray for the safety of my being I can see a lot of conflict between yourself through your eyes, I tilted my head And of you?...

"Another elikinsi yes? Hello!" *A fallen vandal approaches you he is alone*
-
I snap back to my senses, a bit of magic sifting off my cheeks a bit dazedly and oddly I turn my head to spot you Uh...
-
"Sorry was I interrupting something? I need help you are elikinsi like me. I can trust you"
-
H-help It seemed like I was just processing and learning the word for the first time With what?

"Elikinsi you are okay yes?"

Vyliks stood a fair distance away, just in visible range of Aerile. He wasn't precisely following her or anything of the sort, but had stumbled upon her position in a scavenging run. His tattered Devil's cloak fluttered in the chilled winds of the Cosmodrome, the feathers and crimson fabric wrapped around him for warmth. Seeing the Guardian approaching her and inspecting her closely, he unslung his line rifle from his back, grasping the stock and under barrel with his two upper arms, raising it upwards and peering down the marksman sights. Pulling back on the trigger, the charge-up of the rifle could be heard from their distance away.
we should try not to fall out of order. I say we start from the original again and try to have an order.
-
I overheard the charge of a weapon, these large ears on my helmet help pick up sound, I swung my head towards the sound and shrieked in alarm at seeing a vandal preparing to end one of the two figures that stood here's life. I dove behind a rock and trembled, was he going to kill me?
-
The bolt was not intended to hit Aerile, rather the Guardian. Despite its purpose, the arc tracer darted by the Guardian, the accuracy dropping off at the range he was firing from.
-
My eyes sparkle a bit of gold and I walk out, I stand in front of the guardian as an act of defiance and protection
-
Vyliks narrows his eyes. He did not understand the eliksni's actions. All the Guardians ever seemed to want was to kill, and steal, all in the name of their "Light" and the "Traveler". He slung his line rifle across his back, under his torn crimson cloak. He dropped from the rocky ridge he stood upon, striding towards the eliksni.
-
Fear gnawed at me, but I stood firm, I watched with intent and tried to make myself look taller by fluffing my hair up
-
As he grew closer, he called out in the Eliksni tongue in response. "I am of no house! I am here to scavenge, and was protecting fellow eliksni!"

John gently placed a hand on the Elinski's shoulder. As to not scare her. This was a volatile situation. One wrong move could lead back to swapping lead... Or energy... Whatever the Wire Rifles used. John shook his head and pulled the female behind him. John watched the other Vandal stride down and noticed he stored his rifle. John did the same with his sword and managed to unclench his fist. He was trying to make peace, but not sure how. He figured he might as well try something that the other Vandal will recognize. He called out the formal greeting for Elinski when two Houses crossed paths. "From what House do you hail and for what purpose do you speak?" The last message he spoke was ignored. Granted he probably sounded so thick with some strange accent of both human and Kings Speak but still.
-
He felt the energy of the arc round singe the air next to him. He missed. John, for no reason, had his eyes clamped shut. Why was he afraid of a single round? His armor could withstand it. So why was he afraid? He opened his eyes and saw the female vandal in front of him. Arms splayed out as a symbol of protection. Did she really think he needed protection? That's ridiculous. John lowered his sword and let loose a high pitched whistle. Loud enough for the sniper to hear. He called out in the same volume in Elskini speak. "I am Jonathan. Rouge Guardian. I am allied with the House of Kings. Stand down. I mean no harm to the Devils or Kings." He inhaled deeply after that. Shouting that loud took your breath away. He hoped this would go peacefully. Desperately hoped

John stood at the head of a small rowboat. No one else manned it except him and it drifted lazily towards the shore. Only thanks to the broken moon pulling the tide in. Behind him, a large, Fallen ship. One that appeared to be only seaworthy rather than airworthy. It was adorned with the colors of the Kings. The flag flying at the mast was an unknown to most Elinski. The House of Kings symbol but light blue, sharper than Winter. A grey star in the background. If you looked closely, it would appear to be the Stormcaller's Seal. It was his own personal flag. He had made a deal with the House of Kings and he still had a few good friends in the House. As well as the Oceans. John was remarking that the Elinski were surprisingly supreme at sailing. Their added limbs and huge strength have them the advantages of being two sailors at once. He barely registered when the boat was drug ashore by the current. The jolt made him lose his footing and he crashed upon the turf. The sand was ice cold and he quickly scrambled up. After shivering a few times and attempting to dry himself he gave up and waved back at the ship. After a few seconds a high pitched whistle was heard as the ship lurched forwards and almost hit a half sunken plane. John laughed as he turned back inland and spoke to his Ghost. "They never change. Skorio and his crew. They might be just as clumsy as me." A female voice, soft but also digital, spoke in his head. "That's impossible. You are in fact the most clumsy Guardian I've met. Who trips while trying to throw a Nova Bomb?" "That's why I became a Stormcaller. I-" "thought it was a better idea to do something that doesn't involve throwing or getting up?" "Shush. You're a ball. You wouldn't understand." "Mhm" John just shook his head and looked around. No sign of Devils anywhere. He looked further and found nothing- Ah. Wait. There's one. Maybe a scout or lookout. He walked towards the Fallen he saw before him and as he got closer, 3 questions appeared to him. 1. Why is it so small? Like, smaller than a Dreg. 2. Why is it wearing House of Winter items. And House of Judgement. AND House of Devils. Is it crazy? Or a maybe a renegade. 3. WHY IS IT GLOWING?! John obviously didn't voice these aloud but as he got even closer he noticed it was a female Fallen and she appeared to be in some sort of status. He could detect powerful magic rising from her. It was quite similar to what he used to on his sword. They were a Pre-Golden Age form of magic. The human race discovered Light long before the Traveler. He decided to investigate and walked over to where she was sitting. Her eyes were closed and he crouched next to her, peering intently at the cords of magic around her torso and head. He noted how she didn't appear to have any focus points. Maybe they were hidden or maybe she never learned how to focus magic. As a weapon or otherwise
