Soon it would be dusk. But Rick didn't care. He didn't care at all. Soon the fallen Kell would be outside, moving out to terrorize the City. Rick wanted to destroy this monster. This Kell was absolutely horrible, after all he did murder his parents and... Enough no more thinking, Rick thought.
Rick glanced up at the cave entrance. Still no Kell. Sighing, Rick picked up his sniper to look at the Fallen base.
"Hi."
Rick turned around so fast he almost hit his friend, Marisa.
Rick hissed, "What are you doing here?!"
Marisa replied calmly, "I'm here to help find this Kell. After Shaxx told me that Mike is off to find some stupid Cabal centurion."
Rick stared at his friend. She was a warlock so she liked to know everything. Her blue robes would be visible if she weren't crouching behind the rock. Her hand cannon was gleaming red. For some reason he felt closer to her than anyone else.
If only she knew...
A large noise broke his thoughts. Coming from the cave, was the Kell. Tarliks, the so-called new leader of the House of Devils. The Fallen who murders his parents, the one who killed Rick the first time, and the one who- was Rick thinking out-loud?
He turned to Marisa. "What should we do now? My sniper won't pierce his armor."
Marisa looked at him, "I'll try and get his attention. You try and cripple him. Don't hurt yourself." And for good measure she punched Rick's arm playfully. He didn't understand why.
That's when all hell broke loose.
