This is why U.S citizens can, and do own guns. And to those pro gun control just keep in mind that guns are very heavily restricted in France for civilians. I'm not in no way blaming France. I am saying that this is exactly the reason citizens need guns. Texas has, something like 2nd or third least amount of gun restrictions in America, and do you see any attacks there? This is also why the U.S should not allow 10,000 syrian refugees in.
Hop on that down vote and come back when you're over your emotions.
Stay strong France.
Sincerly,
An American
Edit: I don't have an agenda. My prayers go out to France, but we need to keep level heads and realize further gun restrictions are not helping. Hell I'm waiting on Obama to push his agenda on gun control. Remember after Sandy Hook?

Edited by Flee: 11/14/2015 4:46:51 PMYou're an absolute idiot. Not that I needed this thread to tell me that, but this only affirms that belief.
This is why U.S citizens can, and do own guns.
To fight off trained terrorists attacking in a coordinated way at numerous locations simultaneously, something that has not once been prevented by law-abiding gun owners?
And to those pro gun control just keep in mind that guns are very heavily restricted in France for civilians.
Yet France still has a relatively high number of privately owned guns in addition to low gun violence rates.
I'm not in no way blaming France.
"Dear France, your gun restrictions are the main reason this happened. NO BLAME THOUGH!" God damn, you really are an idiot.
I am saying that this is exactly the reason citizens need guns.
Yes, a single tragedy claiming the lives of a little over a 100 people compared to tens of thousands of gun deaths in the US every single year. Since 9/11, over half a million Americans have died by guns. That is more than a 100 times the casualties of 9/11 caused by your gun control laws. A hundred times more deaths by your own guns than by terrorists. THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON CITIZENS NEED GUNS.
Texas has, something like 2nd or third least amount of gun restrictions in America, and do you see any attacks there?
Anecdotal and irrelevant, as there are dozens of places with considerably stricter gun control policies than Texas that also have no been the victim of any terrorist attacks.
Hop on that down vote and come back when you're over your emotions.
The irony is strong.
Edit: I don't have an agenda. My prayers go out to France, but we need to keep level heads and realize further gun restrictions are not helping. Hell I'm waiting on Obama to push his agenda on gun control. Fighting guns with guns won't help
-
Actually, the founding fathers gave us gun rights so no one could invade America. Like, imagine trying to invade a country where there is a gun in every house? And thats why no one has screwed with our home country:) not just texas lol but good point. My prayers and thoughts are also with France!<3

Merci friend ;)

Ignorance overload imminent, evacuate evacuate.

You know. In most venues in America you cannot carry weapons into the theater. Also. There are like 18 trillion shootings a year. Like 30k people die from guns a year in America.
-
Dumb logic. I'm all for gun rights and blah blah blah. But Colorado has pretty good gun laws for citizens but that didnt stop the fckstick from going into a theater and massacring those people.

Edited by Britton: 11/14/2015 8:29:46 PM1) a purposefully organized attack won't be stopped by any laws. That doesn't mean we don't need laws. Example: Safe outdoor burning guidelines are designed to reduce the number of unwanted wildfires. Will it stop arsonists? No. But that doesn't mean the laws don't help. 2) its a shitty thing to do to piggy back a political agenda off an emotionally charged tragedy by spinning it. 3) if you for one second think civilians who concealed carry would be able to meaningfully stop a massive terrorist attack you're delusional. Law enforcement wouldn't be able to quickly identify friend from foe, which would probably result in more innocent life lost. 4) carrying a gun for personal protection is just for that. In these types of events the best way to protect yourself and those you love is to get yourself and them out of the area.

Because guns could have prevented 9/11.

Edited by Woupsea: 11/15/2015 5:08:42 AMI'd be willing to bet that more people will die because of gun violence in America over the course of this year than the number of people that were killed in the attacks
I'm not in no way blaming France.
[I'm not pro gun control, just saying...] Op is anti gun control and anti grammar as well.

-citizen raises gun- -all hostages hosed- Good job OP. You killed the bad guys with no hostage survivors. >Texas Now that isn't happening there. Courts looking to strike down those state "medical laws" (aka secretly antiabortion laws). I dot know much about west boro but I'm sure they are stationed somewhere in there

Edited by awesome1401: 11/15/2015 4:08:20 AMYeah because everyone goes to soccer stadiums, concerts, bars and restaurants with their guns out, aimed and ready in the off chance a terrorist attack is about to occur. Not to mention a pistol in the untrained hands of a ordinary, unawares citizen is more than a match for a military trained, co-ordinated terror cell with automatic machine guns and explosives? OP is an idiot.

I'm sorry but I've been to Texas and met a bunch of nice people. All of them owned at least 1 ar 15, a couple shotguns and 1 anti ANYTHING weapon which includes but is not limited to: Barrett 50 cal, ww2 BAR, m27 iar with ap rounds, for some reason an anti tank rifle, etc.

As someone for the second amendment, I still think your skull is denser than a neutron star. I hope you are bullshitting us because if you aren't, you are only announcing your retardation and trying to push your ideologies and agenda with a tragedy that shouldn't be used like that.
-
Don't worry guys we'll probably get a support France shader from bungie and a t shirt
-
Amen!!
-
Also haven't been any attacks in the UK since 7/7 No guns here hombrero
-
In what manner are you qualified to say those things exactly ?
-
ELIZABETH TAYLOR
-
Yes because armed civilians amidst the chaos of a terrorist attack is exactly what would help the police

You are stupid
-
And how many mass shootings have happened in the states in the past 20yrs since columbine without any of the gun control laws you're worried about. Your stupidity is amazing.
-
Why the -blam!- does every bad situation have to have people arguing over gun control? Grow up.

In op's defense, a few concealed carriers may have helped.
