Because more guns are always the answer. Got a problem with guns, well give it more guns! That'll solve it real good. Grow up you fool. Look at places like Australia strict gun laws and very few gun related incidents. This means terrorists are less likely to be armed. Also how many bloody high school shooting happen in America? If there weren't guns they wouldn't be 'shootings' they'd be normal schools.

In fairness I don't know how it went down, and an armed audience probably would have slowed them down, but then they wouldn't have done as they did should that have been the case so it's difficult to draw direct comparison.
