With the brilliant idea of adding Silver, the possibilities of using them on things are endless!
My Suggestion is to have the Destiny community spend 50 Silver Marks every time they choose a character and begin their gaming session on that Character. Since some features in this game have been switched to account based instead of character base (Daily, Weekly, Etc) this would help control the urge for the community to have to do all the tasks on all 3 characters per week and just focus on their "main" like Bungie is wanting with the release of TTK.
Bungie could implement a time limit of how long you play on that character before you have to spend more Silver to play. An error code "Leprechaun" can pop up on the screen to notify the gamer that it's time to spend more Silver. Since the average gamer spends 3 hours on this game, the time limit can be set for 3 hours or less, Depending on what Luke Smith seems fitting. Since he knows what's Best for this game and the community.
Or to keep the rate of guardians dying during any part of the game (wiping, and so-on) to a low amount, guardians could have 5 lives before they have to "insert more silver to play". The game will pause on the last death and give a 30 second timer for a guardian to decide to insert more silver or the game will return back to the main menu.
The amount of silver required to play can vary by time or day by Increasing during peak hours and being discounted during off hours.
With guardians purchasing SilveR, this would help Bungie come out with more Live action free content like a "Festival of Thanks" for Thanksgiving or whatever they seem ideal for the holidays and continuing until Destiny 2 in 2016.
The use of inserting currency to play a game has been around for decades and most gamers would understand and have no issues with it because they are already accustomed to it.
This can revolutionize the video gamE industry.
