There are too many little things that have made me tired of Destiny despite being fully addicted to it throughout all of Year 1, but I think it can be summed up like this: [b]Most of the decisions Bungie make, most of the changes to the game, are made to nerf us as Guardians in some way.[/b] That in itself isn't really the problem, it's the reason why they're doing it. They continually make us slightly less powerful, less capable bit by bit to drag the game out. They give us more to do by nerfing us as players instead of stumping up more content. We're fighting Bungie more than the darkness. And people will only put up with that for so long. There are lots of little irritating things like less weapon parts (wtf), removing primary burns etc. but the bit that really annoyed me is how they handled Year 1 vs Year 2 gear. They clearly didn't want us always using Fatebringer etc.anymore (I don't necessarily agree with that either; if it's fun and we like it why not just leave us to it, and if it is that overpowered then give it a suitable, individual nerf like the Gjallarhorn). But instead of [u]persuading [/u]us to embrace Year 2 by introducing equally fun and effective gear, they [u]enforced [/u]the embrace of Year 2, by relegating all of the other gear into irrelevance. There is less gear worth using and investing in now than there was pre-2.0. And for an indication of how things are going, compare Year 1 perks with the perks added in TTK. Why all the overly situational garbage? When the pre-requisite for a perk to be active is "shooting this weapon from behind cover" you know things have gone too far. I won't even get started on the raid rewards/infuse system. Be surprised if many people are max level by next summer. But if it keeps people playing your game eh Bungie! I understand some people will prefer Year 2 and that's fine, but before instantly slapping this down ask yourself honestly, if nothing changes at all, will you still feel the same a month or three from now? The sooner Destiny is restored to full glory the sooner I can stop trying to fill the void with shite like Black Ops 3.
