Not everyone has the time to spend collecting fragments.
Some only play for short periods of time a week.
Please stop being smug and saying

By following the guides online and youtube i got the fragments needed in a couple of evening sessions, and spent maybe 2-3 hours total getting them If I can get them, anyone can get them, with little or no effort. you just have to start trying, and stop moaning...

Honestly I would not give a -blam!- if someone has malice or not as long as you are 300-309 up until Oryx (When the ogres and boss are 320, 310 is not a lot to ask for.) But is it preferred? Yes. Is there viable reason? Yes. There are a lot of means of achieving the Malice via guides that are easily comprehended. It'll take 2-3 hours to get. Which out of a week or two isn't as big as a grind as people make it out to be. Do I agree it shouldn't be the new Gjalla? Of course. But OP has made a poor choice in posting and bashing against people who have it. Satire or not, even the tastiest of french fries can be ruined with too much salt.

3 RepliesToM is not required for hard raid. But it makes it significantly easier. So a lot of groups that have that are just wanting to save time. It's a crutch and will probably be nerfed like gally was because people were going through the same thing you are. Bungie said they don't want 1 weapon to be the go too, and players should have options, but we'll see how long it takes them to nerf it so people learn to not rely on it.

3 RepliesThe expansion has been out for 2 months. You've had plenty of time to find them by now. This excuse wasn't even really viable a month ago. I could understand if it only been 2 weeks instead of 2 months. But at this point you're just being lazy if you don't have 45 fragments.

Then I got off my lazy azz and found out it wasn't so bad. As long as you have been killing the tier 3 bosses in CoO along the way, it really only takes about an hour to get the fragments and maybe another hr (at max) to complete the 2 strikes. So 2 hours for one of the best guns in the game, that also doubles as a ticket into hm raid to get better gear. Well worth the 2 hour investment.

And in the end, 9 times out of 10, the person making that comment is only doing so because, just like you hinted at, their only achievements are in games. They realise that this is sad depressing so try and bring people without it down to their level to hide their own flaws and make themselves feel better. "What? You don't have malice?? 6 RepliesI fail to understand how you don't have time to acquire fragments but you have 3 hours to waste attempting to find a group to carry your non-touch having ass to the promised land. I mean, that is why this post was created, right? Because you got booted out of a hard raid team for not having touch or you tried to start a team and people left because you didn't have touch, right? Here's the memo because apparently you didn't get it: ToM is ESSENTIAL for hard raid, if you do not have time to acquire the touch, you do not have time for a hard raid. PERIOD.

Just get a few a week, eventually you'll get enough. The grind for the fragments is DEFINITELY worth it though. God tier weapon in PvE and raid, plus has shredding capability in PvP. Plus a [i]ton[/i] of fun to use.
