All this tales and more have a massive potential to become an extensive storytelling, the lore tells about epic and moving moments, very powerful universal messages, this could be as lengthy as TLotR, Star Wars as Bungie itself is looking for. Just imagine: Many of this tales ends in tragedy, deception, flawed guardians, but sure, some can end in hope or end in epic conclusion: The Twilight Gap battle for example, sound tragedious, it could end such a comic; Eris' incursion to Hellmouth and aftermath could become a book; And the Reef Wars which his lore tells about a epic scaled battle and talks about of lots of Fallen and Awoken as well could become a epic movie!
