It's sounds like you've found a very rare situation.
This example you've laid out is hardly the norm.
I've never seen a streamer charge 80. I watch several Destiny streamers.
Personally, to me there is nothing wrong with what's going on.

That guy isn't a streamer looking for viewers and subs, he's using twitch as a venue to prove that he's getting scrubs to the lighthouse and a medium for 'cash' exchange (donation button).
