Do moderators have the ability/authority to forward any creative forum ideas like this one to the people it would need to be sent to for it to be implemented?

The Feedback section is the best place. Bungie actively looks for and listens to player voices there, as that's the purpose of it.

Ah, I see. Would it be okay to simply make a thread on there linking this thread so they can see the amount of support behind it?
