So as the title says I would love Bungie to just remove these two features from Rumble.
Now let me give context. I have been fighting my way to finally have my 100 Rumble wins to max out my Grimoire. Rumble was the last thing I needed and I have finally finished that task. I would say that I'm a good player, not the best, but good. I usually get first place and when with friends I find i rare that we don't win. Unfortunately Rumble doesn't give a damn if you're a good player. Rumble only cares if you know how to use a shotgun, play on terrible maps for the gametype, be willing to play in games where you joined mid way through and the leading player has 1500+ points already, or if you are able to fight off a trove of friends attempting to boost each other along.
My experience with playing rumble has been one of my worst gaming experiences ever, and that is saying something having been someone who bought ET for the NES. The gametype could be vastly improved with a few simple changes:
1) Remove joining in progress. One guy utterly stomping a game and people leave. Good for them let them have the win and stop subjecting us to that BS.
2) Remove Fireteams from the playlist. Completely pointless to have and allows too much crap. I understand sometimes friends want to play against each other and see who is better, add private matches for that because this is ridiculous.
3) Make the Grimoire gain a win off of the top 3 players. Your previous games counted as a win for the top 3. You've added it for bounties. Why not for Grimoire. If you double the playlists for more grimoire and I lose it I can tell you I will not be doing Rumble again unless you add this in. So please don't double the playlists.
As a personal note please remove Black Shield and Time Keeper from the game. These maps are utterly terrible and subjecting your fan base to them is a terrible thing to do.

Fireteams should stay in rumble until private matches are made, if ever. I also completely agree with you when you said top 3 should get the grimoire. Thats half the players, and half the players get grimoire in any other gamemode.
