Edit: Thanks guys, I get that I spelled guaranteed wrong I've fixed it now...
I know this has been happening from the beginning of trials and I'm SURE it's very lucrative with some people 'charging' upwards of $120 or more to carry total scrubs to the lighthouse (I was watching a stream where I'm surprised the guy being carried could even complete PvE content, he was charging $80 per card and some unknown higher amount if you wanted insurance just in case you had to wipe a card once which would be another $80 without that extra amount up front).
I'm torn on this issue, people have been making money or benefiting from the inadequacies of people that can't do something from the beginning of time. But, this 'service' they are providing kind of seems wrong to me.
What are all of you fine guardian's opinions? Please elude without incriminating yourself if you are someone that gets paid upwards of $800-$1,600 per week (split between the two carrying the nubs). If they only charge $80 and on average a trials run without wipe takes an hour that would be the same as someone making roughly $84,000 if it is an equal split between the two doing the carrying and that is what they did 40 hours a week (Trials lasts for roughly 96 hours; so, if there is a steady flow of individuals that are desperate to go to the light house you could make the bi-weekly wage of an upper-middle income individual in just one trials weekend...)

Who cares
-
If someone is that desperate to reach the lighthouse, and is willing to pay cash for that, then there will always be someone willing to provide that service Not sure why it matters to other people though, unless their spending your cash of course
-
If someone is actually stupid enough to pay money to go to the lighthouse then they are the ones at fault not the people milking their retardation
-
I wouldn't pay but it's fine by me as long they actually get there
-
The best part is when someone pays for a carry and then their team loses like the last match
-
Why can't people not be greedy and do it free? If I had the power, the internet and the skill I would. I mean I get a small bit of satisfaction from helping out pure randoms.
-
For only 9.99€, I will help you, to help me, go flawless. Now how does that sound?!
-
People actually pay for this? Oh Lord
-
It's their money let the people who want to waste it, waste it. What else can be said. I unlike them know better, I am not good in pvp so I don't bother with ToO, maybe Iron Banner but that is something else. Just let them waste it, I'm sure it makes them happy and the people earning the money are so yeah leave it alone.
-
Who cares what a dumbass idea
-
Personally, i think anyone is insane to pay for a LH run. Especially in y2 since their are no elemental primaries. However, people are free to do what they want with their money. If i was good enough, id be stupid to not make some £££ out of doing LH runs, since the demand is there.
-
Who cares? People can spend their money on what they want.
-
Probably some lag switchers.. I ran across a group last night and it's annoying as shit to get a loss that way cause you can't damage someone.
-
The rewards in trials are hardly worth the time playing it, just finished gold tier and got a useless 300 fusion rifle. What a waste of time.
-
This happens a lot in games where you can have a team. Most mmorpgs have this. WOW for example. People pay up to $1000 for a raid spot. Because you are paying for a spot and compensating for whoever isn't doing that raid
-
Id just be happy for a couple of wins, I really am that bad.
-
I don't like the concept. It makes the achievement less valuable for people that actually earned their emblem.
-
I'm not entirely sure there's an issue with it. If you fancy yourself good enough to be paid for carrying others through the lighthouse, your headache. It puts the carrying team at a disadvantage, deoending on whether the person being carried is bad or lazy. Personally I'd never touch Trials with a 10' pole, since I'm terribad at PvP and would rather not have my shame solidified by having to pay to be carried. But, if people are willing to pay, and other people can actually deliver wins, I see no problems with it. It's business.

i wouldn't be suprised if half these people were employed by bungievision!
-
Edited by LordofChaos: 11/9/2015 1:33:47 PMWont ever be stopped buy bungie or psn or xbl ever. Nor will government ever step in and do anything about it ever.
-
If someone is dumb enough to pay to get carried thats thier problem. There going to have a hard time anyway. Even if i was bad at the game i would never do that. Never knew this was a big thing
-
Is bungie any better?
-
Ive been offered money but its kinda weird not being at a tournament and still winning money
-
If people are willing to pay for it, then who cares. How is it any different than charging for silver or micro transactions in other games. Take madden for instance. People spend $1000's of dollars playing madden ultimate team so EA can get rich?! Screw that. If someone is willing to pay and someone else is making the money off of it, good on them.
-
Who gives a -blam!- lol
-
Bungie shouldn't do anything. If someone is stupid enough to waste their money on it. Let them
