Edit: Thanks guys, I get that I spelled guaranteed wrong I've fixed it now...
I know this has been happening from the beginning of trials and I'm SURE it's very lucrative with some people 'charging' upwards of $120 or more to carry total scrubs to the lighthouse (I was watching a stream where I'm surprised the guy being carried could even complete PvE content, he was charging $80 per card and some unknown higher amount if you wanted insurance just in case you had to wipe a card once which would be another $80 without that extra amount up front).
I'm torn on this issue, people have been making money or benefiting from the inadequacies of people that can't do something from the beginning of time. But, this 'service' they are providing kind of seems wrong to me.
What are all of you fine guardian's opinions? Please elude without incriminating yourself if you are someone that gets paid upwards of $800-$1,600 per week (split between the two carrying the nubs). If they only charge $80 and on average a trials run without wipe takes an hour that would be the same as someone making roughly $84,000 if it is an equal split between the two doing the carrying and that is what they did 40 hours a week (Trials lasts for roughly 96 hours; so, if there is a steady flow of individuals that are desperate to go to the light house you could make the bi-weekly wage of an upper-middle income individual in just one trials weekend...)

If you're that desperate to go flawless and actually pay someone, then you're the bigger idiot than those charging for it.
-
Just pay and charge it back lel
-
lol paying for wins in a video game. It would make sense of so called wins earned you something worthwhile but they really don't. Let em pay its not a huge deal. It's rather easy to beat these teams that are being double carried.
-
If they would be able to crack down on this, it seems untrackable as we have SO MANY people playing Destiny it wouldn't be possible unless it's people that they recognize.
-
I find it hilarious that people actually use those services. I'm not saying they don't work, but who would pay for Destiny services? ~TheGreatNike
-
Who cares, people did similar with boosting 50s back in Halo 3.
-
I don't have an issue with it as long as the service is legitimate.
-
I don't care if they make money doing this however I feel that once you go flawless you shouldn't be able to get another card. Either that or put people who have gone flawless for the week in their own category for matchmaking
-
If people are stupid and lazy enough to pay 2 win then I want them to lose that money for being so stupid. So I'm definitely for it.
-
Elemental Primaries are gone, don't know why anyone would pay for this but the same can be said for people that buy cigarettes, they know it kills them, they do it anyway. It's just easier not to judge & let people spend money the way they want. Then you can retain peace of mind
-
They can't even guarantee that and then charge you for another run, F'in ridiculous.
-
You're stupid as shit if you pay for something in game that's more than the actual game. Honestly the game probably gave those people shitty loot anyways.
-
Bungie should ban everyone participating in this. This is essentially RMT which is generally frowned upon and illegal/against ToS for online games, MMOs especially.
-
Paid $50.00 for a flawless run, guy ran my character, got a 317 AR, going on my ToM. Had me go to the lighthouse myself, I won't wear the emblem, I did just to experience it. I didn't earn the emblem.
-
they are not cashing in on the inadequacies of people, they are cashing in on the fact that they are cheating and running low MTU settings on their routers so they basically either can't be killed or lag/glitch so badly you either can't hit them or they take a ton of damage. it's a fairly easy fix in the matchmaking process, you can match similar connections together, let the laggers play with other laggers.

Edited by Zoop: 11/9/2015 6:28:28 PMIf people are actually willing to pay real money for it, let them. It doesnt affect you in any way
-
Pay money for a crappy gun and an emblem, haha hahaha hahahaha hawhahwha Muhwahaha!
-
I would never pay for a trials run but I'm kinda in awe of people who can carry someone in the current meta.
-
the people asking ca$h for 'carry' are not the problem here the people who pay them are just my .02
-
The people who do that know they are noobs so I'm not really effected by it and i can just check their KD and then kick them if they lie
-
Here's a bigger problem: why are people paying them this money to do that? Don't hate on them, they are only using their skill to get them some profit. Hate on the idiots who will throw out $80 to get carried to the lighthouse. And to add to that, that is a horrible business setup. Basically that guy was saying "$80 for Lighthouse, and if I can't make it in one run then I'll charge more." If anybody will pay money for that, I feel no remorse for them. Lol
-
People who do that are probably noobs at another level
-
The rewards form trials aren't worth playing it IMO, anyone who would pay for carry is so desperate for mediocre rewards. Granted, you can use them for infusion but I'd rather go play another game instead of trials.
-
They will need to register as a business, or self employed, they will need to pay taxes, and basically do it legally, then I'm ok with it, but odds are 99.99% of people doing it aren't doing it legally, and that I have a problem with, it's illegal what they're doing. Some will log on your account, which is against Sony and Microsoft's terms of service. I tweeted Activision about the issue before, it isn't against their terms of service, but it is against Sony and Microsoft.

Im surprised that i haven't seen someone take to the forums to complain about getting ripped off. Maybe too embarrassed to?

If a person can "Guarantee" a flawless run, you know the game mode is not truly competitive. There should be no way to Guarantee the end result.
