Which is the best for PVE?

Shotguns all the way!!

Depends on the situation your in. Tho its always only shotgun and sniper rifles. As side arms and fusion rifles sent useful at all..

I wasn't a big fan of Fusion Rifles, except for Plan C. But in Y2, I have been using Telesto and Midhas Reckoning more. They have the range that shotguns don't have as well as higher impact. Then again, I'm not the "in your face" player type, except perhaps on PvP, which will tell you that I use shotguns more than primaries. =)

Still shotguns. Or sniper if the map is big enough, which most aren't.

I prefer shotguns. It's a knee jerk reaction that requires no skill. I'm just starting to use fusion rifles so ask me again in 6 months.

Generally its just your personal preference. I go sniper on my hunter mainly because of my increased agility and the invisibility. On my warlock I go shotgun because I know I can go close quarters. Whatever you feel fits your class better really. Just keep trying each one in strikes and dailies and see what fits your play style better!

It depends on the situation, shotguns and sniper mainly although fusion rifles are pretty good as well.
