I don't quite see why you are arguing here. You can only tun a single raid over and over again which gives you loot, so you want old raids, which you have (probably) already run over and over again. Instead of one boring thing, you want many boring things. VoG and CE would need some serious changes for me to ever want to run them again. I kinda see your point, but I don't think Bungie will ever do it either way.

  • I liked vog more then crota and crota more then oryx or skolas. That said adding an extra difficulty would also change things up since we have been overpowered for a long time. Not many people would be used to being underleveled for those raids and it would be a nice little kick in the rear to force players to take those raids seriously. It would also offer another reason for players to get familiar with raid mechanics and the level of team work needed for the raid.

  • Good points, although I disagree with the part that most people haven't done the raid(I could wrong, but I doubt it). And you said something sort of contradictory, if the raid LL were bumped up how would "It would also offer another reason for players to get familiar with raid mechanics and the level of team work needed for the raid". To get most players to go back, Bungie would need to really rework the mechanics or make it drop really good stuff. And more of a off-topic question, How do you like CE more than KF? There isn't anything bad about you opinion, I just don't see how.

You ever gone into the min crota fight in the court of oryx? 9/10 times I've had a scrub who hasn't done crota grab the sword and act like an idiot. a lot of new players don't run vault of glass or crota's end because it doesn't offer useful gear. A lot of players still get dragged through the raid or get placed in roles in which they do next to nothing. Look at top left corner on war priest, the lack of effort needed in golgoroth, or the back side on oryx. those areas hardly need any work at all compared to a properly run vault of glass that has nearly every player doing something useful(whether it guarding a conflux stopping templar from spawning, holdingthe gate open or grabing relic.) Most parts of vog and old ce strategies require a bit of work. Don't get me wrong Oryx is the most complex raid, but vog is the most fun and you actually needed a decent team back in vanilla if you wanted to do it in a reasonable time. Also they wouldn't have to change the mechanics they would just have to put the raid on level with the currently max level(or 5 levels higher) and add a different loot pool for the new difficulty(along with locking non ttk players out with a lv 40 requirement.) I like ce more the kf for a few reason. First I dislike jumping puzzle though I can easily do them without dying I usually have half or a 3rd of my team stuck on one end for about 10-15 minutes. Second the loot system in kf is complete cr@p. I wouldn't mind the random gear level(as much, it would still annoy me) if not for the fact that drops were guaranteed. I just ran the Glyph door, warpriest and Golgoroth and only got 1 pair of 316 gauntlets and 8 shards. The gauntlets were 1 point higher then my old set and had a significantly worse perk role. If that was vog or ce I would have gotten a chest piece at max lv(for vanilla or tdb respectively) a weapon, or shards/energy from each part. Instead I got shards which are guaranteed to pay out a weak item then what I have and gauntlets that are not max lv with horrible perk roles. Now if this was a rare event for my teams then it would be sorta okay but its happens nearly every week for over half my raid teams and its getting old real quick. It's one of the reasons I'm not playing destiny as much becasue the loot isn't worth it 90% of the time and that's if it drops. Apart from that I enjoy kf especially when it works but every time I've had a run on it my team get close to killing oryx and quits after we get glitched to death a few dozen times or because we have to leave but until drops improve its not worth the stress and disappointment to even run that raid.

  • I think that the reason 9/10 guardians act like idiot is cause they are, but you are definitely right, many haven't done CE or VoG. the new players would want to run the old raids, but all the veterans would find it boring quickly. To avoid that Bungie would need to seriously rework the mechanics and at that point they might as well make a new raid. Gimme a sec while a read the rest of your novel real fast. . . "Oryx is the most complex raid, but vog is the most fun" Opinion They would definitely have to change mechanics! Don't you at all find VoG a little old by now? A little to easy? I agree that loot drops suck. Bungie just opened a magical portal to Destiny in the bottom of my toilet. I would wash off that Anguish of Drystan before you use it. . . although I don't know why anyone would in the first place.

  • Me and my team went into vog a weak or 2 ago for the no time to explain quest(the 2nd time it was available I had already gotten it the first time.) I spent over half my time laughing as my friend got demolished because they forgot vog 101 rules. We had more fun running vog and getting guaranteed lot(in my case roughly 8-12 weapon parts and 3k glimmer) then we had from doing the kf raid a day earlier. Yes the mechanics were well known, yes it was easy slaughtering the enemies, provided I wasn't the only one alive since my team was constantly messing up(they were vog veterans too who did it with me back when they were stuck at 29 for months) but it was 10x more fun the kf has been. If the enemies were on level with me. I would probably have sat down after 2 people died on any segment(if we were near the start) and demanded that we wipe. Then I would spend 10 minutes schooling the fools in how to run part and show them the spots they should use for cover. Upping the level of the enemies would be a good kick in rear for a lot of players as many have forgotten(including yourself) just how unforgiving vog can be when your team isn't at their best. I well admit they might have to buff the bosses health a bit though due to the new supers and abilities but apart from that and bringing the level up it would require much.

  • Ok that an opinion again, but many players probably feel that way. This chat starting to get long so I'm gonna sum up everything here. "in my case roughly 8-12 weapon parts and 3k glimmer" You're luckier than me (thats not saying much) You think players would enjoy the old raids. Many probably would. The rest would find it kinda boring unless changes were made. " a lot of players as many have forgotten(including yourself) just how unforgiving vog can be when your team isn't at their best." My team sucks and has never really been good, but there nice people. Our best is kinda embarrassing. True though. Lets just agree to disagree. And please respond in less than 4 sentences. My eyes hurt from reading so much (JK)
