After completing a raid you have have a chance to get a year 2 version of any year one raid gear. For example, if you kill Aetheon you have a chance (high chance) to get ONE raid weapon or armor from any raid. the item would drop at 170 light, but can be infused, this would cause the player to work to get a year one raid weapon to 300+ light With more effort they could make it so you have to complete the whole raid to get the gear.
