Dear Bungie, please take a few hours out of your time to write a little code that does the following:
1. If someone remains red bar for longer than 5 seconds, remove them to orbit.
2. If someone consistently goes from green, to yellow, to red, please remove them to orbit. Let's say this happens more than three times in a minute, they should be removed.
3. In matchmaking, add a stipulation for latency. If someone is in the red, or even in the yellow, do NOT allow them to match make.
If you do those things, your "security team" will have more time to focus on bigger issues. Most of your PvP problems do not need to be addressed by actual people. Hell, ban's may not even be necessary for a lot of people if YOU control what they can and cannot do.
Coming from someone who is not good in PvP, and out of sympathy for those who legitimately are; it's pretty shitty to invest the time to try and go flawless and lose to someone who stays red for the whole match. What's worse? When those redbars can teleport all over the map to res, shotgun, snipe, all the while, impervious to damage.
If you do not fix this by the time the next release drops, I can assure you that I, along with many others, will not be "throwing money at the screen".
Sincerely,
A big fan.

How about dedicated servers

Remove the connection bars. Because people use them as an excuse to suck, Or to call someone a cheat. They have so little to do with actual lag that it amazes me. I guess I'm the only person that has seen more green bars bouncing through the game world than red. All that bar is there for is to appease the thing inside you that lost. It gives you a reason to keep playing, thinking you aren't as bad as that guys lag.
-
Ping lock. It's just that simple.
-
Almost no one would be playing if this happened. I know I wouldn't
-
Halo 5: step 2/4 starting dedicated server
-
Red bars? Don't matter to me. Lag? That's what you should be stressing out about rather than a red bar.
-
This is where dedicated servers come in handy...
-
I think that you don't know much about network latency and server side lag and perhaps should not have written this post.
-
So your saying if the server lags out in the middle of a trials game were you are about to complete your last game for flawless. You want to be removed to orbit even if your wired in at 50 Mbps?
its the servers dumbass!!
-
PvPers eat their breakfast with a side of entitlement in the morning lol. You want a real PvP game try Titanfall. Dunno why more people don't play it, it's loaded with the strategies and required skills many of you claim to have. Very balanced, too. Never seen a failing connection either, or lag. But on a side note, if you are breathing right now and can't get why this post is kinda douchey then I don't know what to tell you. The world isn't about to cater to you so you can get a few more kills in a PvP match on your damn couch. Nobody cares, dudes.

Yeah Mr Simple..... instead of ping 'bars' add actual number. No idea why I can play Driveclub, Rocket League, Killzone, Battlefield 4.... you get the idea with a good solid connection, I play Destiny and its red. Maybe a better matchmaking system so i can play with people near me rather than in New Zealand.
-
Or just matchmake based on connection for all games. I'd rather play a hundred games where I get stomped by mlg streamers with a great connection then play another game where I constantly die because people teleport all over the place and lag armor. Seriously year one trials was the only pvp I really played just because the connections were actually decent. Which doubly pisses me off because they threw in scorecard preference which means about 5 wins in its yellowbars and 6-7 wins in its picking up a trials team from a McDonald's in Madagascar.

We were 8-0 and my teammate lagged out crazy
-
Yep, we got to 6-0 a lot and then BANG it was like trying to move under water, checked their connection and they were fluctuating between green and red constantly.....this was on multiple teams.
-
Someone's salty that some red bars denied them flawless Maybe you just suck
-
lol . a friend has a 200 mbit/s connection and is still redbarring sometimes. With that code destiny would have no players left.
-
Destiny PvP will always be shit. Always. Very fun, but in terms of balance and all that it will always have several factors working against it. Don't wanna deal? Don't play.

Personaly I think they should remove the display, what other people's speed is, is nobody's buissness acept bungies. All this shit does is create more HATE amongst the community....and that helps no one.
Dear Bungie, please take a few hours out of your time to write a little code
-
None of that would be necessary if bungovi$ion had dedicated servers for this game.
-
Red bar titans gaurdian unto a taken lol
-
I dont think you will be hired as a network engineer anytime soon. Not that "write a little code" isnt a super-great idea...
-
OP has a low medal score... Immediately blamed latency for how bad he is at pvp
-
Also add that match making should know geography. I occasionally get match made with players who are 9 hours away via flight! I'm connecting to them, ping must be 300ms+ In short, smarter location match making or filtering.
-
I don't think you fully understand the problem. Doing this implies the issue is from the players side 100% of the time. Spoiler Alert, it's not.
