Maybe because we paid for them? Because they were advertised and many people bought the taken king believing we would receive twice the exotic armors that were delivered?

Dude we didn't pay for them, we paid for TTK, as long as we get 18 exotics in TTK that's fine by me, but dude they were never advertised in the game

Yes they were. Game trailers showed exotics that Guardians were wearing, which happen to be the timegated one's.

The Taken King is just a content pack, an expansion. It's a collection of content. We didn't get the content we were told we would.

This wasn't data mined. I and many, many others now specifically remember a quote in a weekly update. "Half dozen... for each class" in reference to exotic armors in the taken King. If we were talking data mining here there wouldn't be a post.
