This has been a part of the game since the VoG.
It's RNG, you have a CHANCE of getting rewards. Sometimes, you only get moldering shards/ascendant/radiant materials.
Just get over it. It's not like they didn't tell you the reward system of destiny is RNG.

I have no problem with rng. I have a problem with them making that many more possibilities of the drop and those possibilities have only 1 that will get me to max light. 1 in 10 chance of getting the right piece of gear if it drops. IF IT DROPS. If they where going to adjust the dropped loot in this fashion they should of guaranteed a drop at each encounter or at least tell us that we will have to grind more and put that much more time in. Instead they said they value our time.... don't piss on me and tell me it's raining

Except this time you don't get anything. You got shards before which could be used for upgrading stuff or exchanged for motes. Have you forgotten about that? Reward system of Destiny being RNG is cool. But it crosses the line when the chance of getting literally nothing is added to the table. And it hasn't been like this since VoG. You play on normal, you get shards and maybe some gear. You play on hard, you get shards again, and maybe some gear. Now since shards aren't needed, the equivalent is gear since it serves the same purpose. You use it to make your current stuff more powerful. Before you reply, I got a question for you. Name one other PVE activity that's weekly or daily in Destiny that doesn't give you anything upon completing it.
