Does it bug anyone else how much bungie reuses content? I know a lot of companies do it. But with a $40 price tag, I really expected more.
Guns and armor - a lot of reskins of year 1 in all the level tiers. In my opinion, that doesn't really count as new. faction gear are all year one. even vanguard and crucible sets are the exact same with a slight paint change. Black Spindle is Black Hammer. Trials are the exact same. Raid armor is 1 set for three different modes. Just a couple examples.
Enemies - same enemies for the 3rd straight expansion. just added a new skin and a new ability
mission areas - most of them are year one areas with a small newish addon. Even the dreadnaught missions get old. Patrol, bounties, strikes. All use the exact same areas. A great example is phobos. They make us go through normally for the story. Then they make you go through it backwards for a quest. Then they make you go through it backwards with a small addon boss halfway through that appears for a different quest. 3 times, one small area. Also, It's cool when a mission takes you back to a raid area. But in light of the growing list, it's still another reuse. 2nd straight expansion where we have gone to the vault. same area in the vault as well.
Seriously, at $40 expansion price, I expect more. We are basically paying for what we already bought. This is not new content in my opinion.
After doing some research, it sounds like Bungie's contract with activision is to blame. I am guessing the timetable requires them to cut corners. Then they have to sell it at this price. If this is an indicator of what's to come, then I will choose to buy dlc from a company that can deliver proper content.

I personally like the game and acknowledge the hard work they put into TTK, like how they made a raid, how they built an entire patrol area for a DLC, how they added 3 new subclasses, how they basically made a new game on top of the old one. Honestly, bungie deserves more credit than you shits give them and I hate seeing this kind of post. They're a developer. Posts like these pressure them when they appear en masse and bungie devs get stressed because of the pressure to crank out new content. Then players complain how it's "incomplete" because bungie was pressured into releasing it too early. Thanks for nothing, -blam!-ass
