Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Here is a comment from another post that explains my thoughts perfectly, all credit goes to user Wahrnye
"Just another joke of a weekly update that makes it easier to not look back on this game going forward.
Announcing the weapon parts change - Fine, but that's a fix to a problem THEY created. And when addressing the fact that THEY created this problem, DeeJ wraps it up in unnecessary snark about being curators of THEIR living world. Hubris to the highest degree; it's almost as if they're saying how dare we question their choices?
Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December. They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
EDIT:
A lot of you seem to think im just looking for something to be offended by cuz im a "no balls toxic loser"
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
Perhaps the most irritating thing is the bungie fanboys and dickriders who will stop at nothing to defend everything the devs do to this game and every word that comes out of that douchebag known as Deej's mouth.
Go ahead meet me with ninja justice for stating the obvious about your shit company and bottomfeeder fanboys
EDIT2
It seems the common defense for Deejs tone is "oh bungie has to go through so much shit and complaining on the forums, people are meanies"
You people cant seriously believe its ok for a company to retaliate in this fashion. Oh no a game developer has to see negative feedback about the game they made wahh wahh prayers for bungie" All of you are saying "can the entitled/offended generation go away", if you ask me the people defending bungie with this mindset are the "offended generation."
Some of you say, "The customer is always right bullshit has to stop." Anyone who utters this is a complete moron and has either no concept of business ethics or is 15 years old and thinks they are being righteous and hip.
Go ahead, start a business and whenever a customer has a problem with you or the product, tell them to -blam!- OFF. Yea thats a good business model, you will surely succeed.

Yes, I caught the "we have the right to do whatever to the game economy". It didn't upset me but it just made me think "Wtf?" Kind of sad they have that kind of attitude.
-
Gee I wonder why they are defensive? Perhaps because the fanbase is chock full of entitled little d-bags?
-
The amount of drama here seems to explain what your topic covers. It's pretty easy to understand why the devs want to punch the forums, regardless of what may or may not be wrong with the game.
-
The more I read this the more I sympathize with the OP. It seems that the producers are completely out of touch with the game. I have been on zero weapon parts for two weeks off and on now. I hate that my growth has been stunted so much by such a meaningless thing to them.
-
I'm sure you would be snappy too if you had to put up with people always complaining about every little thing.
-
Every man has a limit when confronted with entitled white gaming maggots as he is every day. I loved the post and love to hear everyone cry about it.
-
I don't agree...I don't think he was being rude in the update notes...however I do think this game has become stale...it's just the same shit over and over again...also...playing a level in reverse and calling it new content is just rediculous...
-
Bump. Agree with you man. They can't seem to stay ahead, and they're just getting rude about it (or at least Deej is hah).
-
Why was this post marked as hidden? Asking in all honesty, I've seen other posts get this before and have always wondered why. *hovers*
bleep-bloop
Normally I don't mind their sarcastic remarks but it's getting to the point where there is a passive aggressive tone. I'm sure they are doing a lot of work over there and I'm sure they are tired of having to redo many things people complain about but it's their friggin job to create a game people want to spend money on. I'm glad they made an effort to make it so the game wasn't so easy you could max out in the first week and then complain for months. Having said that, it makes no sense to have sell us weapons that are not even close to being competitive. Coins and legendary marks should get you a gun, that with a little time is fully upgraded, not something that takes getting even better guns to bring it up to a useable state. I blame the ceaseless whining for Bungie's attitude. Id be snarky too if everything I deemed was not good enough. But where I blame them is indulging stupid complaints and ignoring the important ones. I'm at a point now where I can't do much else, since the newborn baby in my house only allows me maybe 30 minutes at a time. There are almost no rewarding activities that can be done in under 30 minutes at a time once you hit like 295.
-
After all the bullshit...... I left...... so did over half my friends list too... everyone went to other games and most as of last night like myself went to COD. It's been great! No lag!
-
Lucky for you destiny has been dying since the betrayals of the sleeper stimulant quest. Time gated and tedious quests seemed like a good idea at first, but honestly it's the reason I play less and less everyday.
-
Working in middle management, I understand Deej's joke about the boss running "low" on weapon parts painfully well. And the Part where he says "we reserve the right to blah blah blah" is taken out of context a bit, right after words he mentions reserving the right to undo those changes after reading the fallout on the forums.
-
Edited by Darches: 11/7/2015 10:12:24 PMI'm pretty sure Deej is sitting on a pile of 10 weapon parts. That filthy casual never finished his Laurea Prima, either. The 1600 parts remark hurt. I'd murder for all those parts.
-
Look from a business stand point. It's the end of the year investors want reports on numbers of users on servers and how long. Second predict future user time on servers. Third future profit forecast. All manipulated by nerfs by bungie to keep us on longer. It's not rocket science!
-
If the community are fgts Then Deej can making a f***ing joke
-
Well we do know what the machine gun BTRD stands for. Bungies Trained Rodent Deej We should have known.
-
Your grandma has a bigger dick than me
-
Felt the same way about it. Interesting time to put out such a week update. Especially with black ops 3 arriving and fallout 4 right around the corner. I found it interesting that they made an effort to go into the forums themselves and talk about how cheaters in trials were going to be banned, but didn't say a word about it in the first update to follow trials.
-
I'm scraping by with 150 weapon parts and 150 armor materials... :(
-
You don't really "get it" so there is no point defending DEEJ & bungie. Your glass is definitely half empty.
-
Deejs can comment however he wants.... the fact he made himself look like a complete -blam!-ing douche is his own problem. It makes him no better that who he's responding to..... but that's ok, karma is a bitch!!
-
-
Let them stay on their sinking ship. We'll jump off with out them.
-
Edited by Excarkun: 11/7/2015 5:49:45 PMI will AGREE with about 98% of the OPs Points..the ones that Defends Bungie ..with all this Crap Bungie does ..They are those what I would say are very similar too Abused Wives syndrome issues: That say there Deserved to be HIT punched in the balls and money taken and Content kept from them.. They are most likely teens & kids that need to grow up..and really shouldn't be on the forums..they are not mature enough
