So I was slaughtered by a jackal with a storm rifle earlier while Linda was off doing her own thing, probably eating glue or licking a window, and I asked myself a question. Are AI allies ever good at what they do?
Let's take Blue Team from Halo 5. If you go down on Legendary and there is even one enemy in your immediate vicinity, they are not going to revive you. If they need to move any significant distance to get to you, that movement will take about 6 years. And then there was Kat driving the warthog.
Are any of them not invincible but as good as they're supposed to be in canon? In the case of Halo 5, these are genetically augmented super soldiers. I feel like I'm leading a strike team of toddlers.

Socom: Navy Seals If you actually understand strategy, or have a brain for that matter, they were extremely useful. An AI team that can flash bang and breach the bottom floor of a cabin, while you break through the second floor to take out their CO... makes them more useful than half the people on my friends list. PLUS THEY UNDERSTAND VOICE COMMANDS!!! MGSV: op buddies. The fact that I could just collect materials while Quiet would cover me, and by that I mean single handedly taking out whole villages of mercs while I run straight to the objective... I'd say that's a helpful ai teammate.
