Since my thread will be buried I'll just post here. I've never done a "oh I'm quitting destiny" thread or anything but I'm pretty done with it. It's not me being tired of the game and I just need to come back to it.. the game changed. I was heartbroken at what the game had turned into and what it was supposed to be but I had no choice but to accept it. And for a while it was okay. But it's always been one step forward and two steps back. The game has made good changes , but so much bad with the good.. it doesn't justify it anymore. It's just not fun anymore. Bungivision didn't focus on making an awesome game because it's the game they wanted to play like they did with halo. That's what made it successful. Hell the bungie we knew and loved is dead and gone. Half the employees are at 343i and the heart and soul, the music composer and story writer, are gone. We are left with the few employees left who were willing to betray the love of the game and community for money. Bungie died before destiny did. I'll admit, I do think a lot of the game was cut content. It makes since and I'm not upset about the money aspect. I'm upset about the principal and that the game was butchered. The game that we saw in trailers and were hyped about for years, the game that caused so many people to pre-order, that game will never be. And that's all we want. Every "expansion" that comes out most fans are just hoping for as close to the original uncut pre-release game as possible, at least I know I am. The sad part is it will probably never come. So it's time for me to finally move on and once again start playing games for what they are.. not what they could be or were supposed to be. It's time to break up destiny. Bungie... You've changed and I don't like who you've become. It's not me, it's you. We should see other people. And Activities, I will never forgive you, you cold hearted b!tch, for taking my sweet little Bungie and breaking her. You are everything that is wrong in the gaming world today. But like any break up, I've learned a lot. I learned that the social aspect of a game can make or break it. I learned to never pre-order anything. Ever. I learned to never let previous experiences predict what future ones will be like. So guys, you may not be done, you may be, but what have you learned?

Im surprised it took you nerds this long to find out how lacking and shitty this game really is.
-
They'll all be back by December for the next big update. The game isn't dying.
-
Its not the games fault. Just promised us something that was obviously a lie. The new guns armour and everything there is less content then before honestly hidden by these storyless meaningless quests. They just refubished old armour abd guns and said it was new and we bought it .

It's November. Lots of games are loosing players.

Edited by Tremolo: 11/8/2015 5:48:53 AMMe too. Just don't know what game to move on to. I'm not a CoD fanboy I might get Battlefield. Edit: *Battlefront

To all those saying... "They'll be back for the next update in December." Almost every other game will be coming out with a DLC of their own. What makes you think that all the other brand new games can't keep their own longevity. Not to say no one will play Destiny when an update come out, but you can only imagine how the other games will be stomping on Destiny. After all it's on its deathbed about now.

Nah it's all just part of natural processes, there's always hills and valleys.
-
Less people on lfg cause it takes you one evening to clear it in all 3 characters and then you do some trials on Friday and the rest you don't need lfg to do 😊
-
I'm thinking of ditching destiny and start playing halo 5 more. Srsly DLCs are my wallets bane, and destiny is getting really goddamn boring.
-
Bring on fallout.

The court of Oryx is like a ghost town...I found some acolytes playing some sort of card game...they were as surprised to see me, and I was seeing them playing cards...
-
Everybody's leaving. No more grind.

Edited by baitedbadger: 11/8/2015 9:40:07 AMTurning point for me was the crap loot drop rate in iron banner, Bungie acknowledging a problem with crucible loot in general, and expecting us to wait 6 weeks for a fix. Then there was the crucible quest, I think that summarises everything wrong at Bungie. Tedious grind, little reward, and slow response to fix. Normally PvP would get me through to the next dlc, but this time, even thats a grind.

Used to be 2 pages of friends list playing. Now it's just a couple of people.
-
Overwatch can't come soon enough. Don't get me wrong, I like Destiny. But I'm kinda burnt out.
-
Noticed this also.

I agree. Destiny is just boring. Raid is extremely underwhelming. Other games catch my eye. Bungies been digging their own grave with all the timelocked content. There's simply nothing else to play. Trails I literally don't even want to attempt. Trails is just "hey who can snipe headshot first, if miss, use your pulse rifle". Then bungie trying to save its ass with the whole "taken King was supposed to be day one content", it's a PR stunt where they are trying to blame activision why their games failing.
-
Edited by Korbain: 11/8/2015 3:51:46 AMTheres only so many times you can the raid. Its literally the only thing left to do to get your light up. Even then its a slow as process of doing it over and over hoping your rewards are good. Even the quests are really grindy. Bungie seems to still think we enjoy grinding... If you done the raid a few times you've experienced all thats there. May as well move on and enjoy the big list of other great games that have come out instead of repeating something over in hope rng is good to you
-
Shit im just starting to re enjoy ttk lol
-
Well considering bo3 is really fun and fallout is right around the corner I don't see why you're surprised.
-
lfg sure seems dead to me
-
With Halo 5, Blops, Fallout 4, and nothing new for Destiny (and the unresolved issues with it); it was gonna happen.

Hmm I clicked over to raid forums and seen tons of post
