High above the old Cosmodrome, at the very top of the rusting colony ship, dark intentions were being set in motion. Ever since the Taken had been cleared out of the area, the House of Devils started creeping back in to fill the gap. City Intel stated that there were some strange power fluctuations coming from that location, so naturally, the Vanguard sent out a single guardian to go poking around.
Korvic couldn't complain too much. He loved any excuse to get out of the Tower every once in a while. He reached the top level of the colony ship without too much trouble, but he couldn't shake the feeling that things were a bit too quiet.
His suspicions were confirmed when something big dropped in from the ceiling. A hulking behemoth of a machine, scrapped together from parts of a Walker, servitors, even what looked to be parts of Skiff. Panels from the ship fell off of the walls as the machine stood up and readied its guns. The entire ship started shaking, threatening to collapse on top of them.
The tremors caused Korvic to stumble slightly, but he managed to regain his footing. The mechanical giant fired a shot from a walker cannon. Korvic dodged out of the way, but the shot managed to ignite a leaking fuel canister. The fire spread across a trail of rocket fuel leading up to a large stockpile.
One glance at the situation was all Korvic needed to know to get the hell out of dodge. He took off running for an opening in the structure. Unfortunately, the Fallen mech came crashing through after him. The two of them fell off of the rig right as the fuel canisters caught fire. The resulting explosion sent the uppermost section of the colony ship off into a fiery gout of burning rocket fuel.
The Fallen mech started firing everything it had at Korvic as they plummeted faster and faster towards the ground. Korvic quickly unsheathed his Bolt-Caster and in a blur of motion deflected most of the smaller munitions. A larger, explosive payload forced him to block and absorb the impact of the blast. Once the smoke cleared, Korvic could see the mech crashing into the ground below. Right before he would have met the same fate, he swung his sword horizontally, creating enough lift to break his fall.
He looked towards the small crater the mech had created when it crashed, only to see it slowly rising back up. The machine was battered and sparking, but still very functional. Korvic laughed, "Still got some fight in you, eh?" The mech roared mechanically in response. "Ok then..."
Korvic tightened his grip around his Bolt-Caster, prompting the blade to spark violently in a torrent of lightning.
"... Let's dance!"

A familiar whining sound is heard, an ice breaker, and you see a part of it fly off

(Okay if I join in? Separate reply, of course.)

Marrik sped through the Cosmodrome on his Sparrow, dodging rusted metal and rocks. He heard explosions in the distance, and went in that direction. He pulled his sparrow to a complete halt when he saw the mech. "Now that, is something." He launched his sparrow full speed toward its leg, lifting off just before collision. Marrik grabbed a gap between armor plates on the mech and watched his sparrow explode on the leg below. "Heck yeah!!"
-
"Nice of you to join us!" Korvic shouts from below, hacking away at the mech's leg plating.
-
"Where did you find the thing?" Marrik began climbing the armor plates toward the thing's head.

a noise is heard as vex clouds appear around him, vex come out of them with weapons ready. Their weapons and colors matched the group of free willed vex that has allied with the city, the Sol heretics. They nod at you and open fire on the fallen mech
-
The mech stumbles back, lifting it's arm to protect itself from the vex weaponry. Two shoulder-mounted Walker cannons start firing at the Vex. Meanwhile, Korvic launches razor edged disks of lightning at the mech in an attempt to disable it.

Edited by Inquisitor Vaax: 11/5/2015 11:37:27 PMmost of the vex teleport out of the blast, only the ones that could handle it stayed. Two hydras begins to open fire on it
-
The mech roars in rage as the Hydra cannons rain down. A large servitor core in it's chest starts spinning up as a large amount of void energy begins to build up at it's center. "That... Does not look good..."
-
all the vex aim for the core and attack it, a storm of energy hitting it
-
The mech reels back and fires a massive beam of void energy from it's core, destroying anything unlucky enough to be in its line of fire.
-
half of the vex are destroyed by it, mostly goblins and harpies. The rest of then continue their assault on it
-
The mech's body sparks and jerks violently. Another hit from Korvic's Bolt-Caster blows out the armor plating on one of its legs, forcing the behemoth to it's knees. "Now! Hit it with everything you've got!"
-
they do as he says, the air was filled with shots of every damage type, arc line rifle shots, void slug rifle shots, and solar torch hammers shots to name a few
-
Korvic runs straight at the fallen mech, sword in hand. The shots from the Vex chip away at it's defenses while he slices clean through the servitor core powering it. The mech shrieks and groans as it falls, dead.
-
a clapping sound is heard as a vex appears, it looks more feminine and sleek "Well done guardian, I hope my men were useful."
-
Korvic sheathes his sword and yawns, leaning back against the dead machine. "I appreciate the help... Just..." He sighs. "... Sorry about the losses."
-
"Yeah, my group will mourn the loss. But with the city's help, we will free more vex."
-
"Heh.... Well, thanks again for the help."
-
"You're welcome. Do you mind if I ask your name?"
-
"Aw, don't tell me you forgot me already?!"
-
"We met before? Uhhhhhh......"
-
"I was at that stadium back in Old Houston."
-
"Oh yeah, now I feel bad for forgetting."
