You will need to buy The Taken King on your Xbox one as it is not apart of the digital upgrade program.
The spark of light does not grant you TTK, it brings you up to the appropriate level for the new missions, but you will still not be able to play them until you buy TTK on the Xbox one.

Really? The spark of light item claims that it unlocks TTK story missions.

Yes if you've bought them. The spark of light allows the character to jump to level 25 and unlocks all mission until that point so you don't have to do them all before you start TTK. You cannot play TTK on Xbox one unless you buy it on Xbox one.
