Edited by Sevencron: 11/4/2015 11:00:17 AMFirst off, Kotaku assumed that microtransactions are going to finance future DLCs, it was never officially confirmed by Bungie or Activision. Secondly, you need to define "DLC". DLC is a wide spreading term and it could mean everything from "five new weapon skins" to "10 story missions and a Raid". Maybe Activison/Bungie will continue to charge us for the main DLCs (those who contain a Raid) but at the same time they'll start to hand out free mini DLCs with new emblems, ghost shells etc.

its ok, they will kill their own game and wonder why it died
-
Loving how everyone who said free DLC is now denying that they ever said it.
-
Bungie have never said anything about free DLC. They mentioned free content but people are assuming that equates to £20 DLC and no company in their right business mind is simply going to give that away. A few quests or missions, perhaps a new crucible map or two but DLC ?, nope.

Not like you HAVE buy emotes lol. If nobody brought them they'd have made them available without real money but hey people did
-
lol duh like activision would give you anything for free

From the 10/05/15 update about Eververse trading: Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests. That doesn't even come close to mentioning dlc.
