Well they outclass year 2 weapons simply because they can be rerolled to make them perfect. It takes away the meaning of finding a good weapon off the start, because you can simply reroll a year one weapon til your satisfied. It also takes away weapon variety because people would infuse there elemental primaries. I personally have a lot of amazing year 1 legendaries but I already know that if I were able to infuse, I'd never use a year 2 weapon

What if they removed the ability to re-roll? They already severely nerfed virtually every Year 1 perk, so any previously "perfect" weapons are no longer nearly as powerful as they were, before. Pretty sure that's an easy fix to the problem, no? And, as for elemental primaries; there has never been a single instance where someone choosing to use an elemental primary has, in any way, hindered another player's experience. I get that Bungie wants players to use a wider array of weapons, but that's for their sake; any choices they make should be for the players' sake, and, in this case, the best choice for bettering player experience would be to keep implementing elemental primaries, because it doesn't hurt anyone.
