What headset do you use?
I'm on Xbox One and currently looking into a wireless gaming headset for around $200. I am starting to play crucible more and more and feel that a decent headset would help me notice enemies sooner.
I'm wondering what the more seasoned players use (besides Astro's, $200 is my limit).
Edit: Figured I would summarize what I am seeing the most.
AstroA40 (some sets can be bought for under $200)
Turtle Beach XO Seven
TB XO Four
Stock headset
HyperX Cloud II
TB XO One
Based on all of the feedback I am seeing, I think I will go with the XO Sevens to save some money and get the best of all aspects.

Been using the turtle beach tangos ever since they released along with black ops 2. Great headset, work with everything, comfy, and look cool. Usually around $300 but you might get lucky.

4 RepliesI would recommend any high end earphones such as bose or beats. Ensure they can disconnect the cable. once you find one you really like buy a v-moda boom pro gaming cable off of amazon. This way you have flexibility to use them in other places and it works great.

There's a version of the astro a40s that doesn't come with a mixamp (the part that makes it surround sound). It's 200 bucks. The build quality is amazing. I'd get that if I were you. You can always pick up the mixamp later

Tldr: at bottom I have the Turtlebeach CoD edition from few years ago, $300 then, and they were uncomfortable. Plus they ATE thru AA batteries. So recently I changed to the Astro A-50's (again $300). These were comfortable, sound is decent, rechargeable, wireless and seemed to work fine for about 3 months or so. Then the mic just went out. Funny thing about them is the mic cannot just unplug. Frustrated and upset I went back to turtle beaches and purchased the 500x this past weekend. I read reviews between the 800's and 500's , and I am VERY pleased with my purchase. They are rechargeable, got mine for less than $200, mic is detachable, tons of options for sound adjustment, playtime is around 10 or so hours on a charge. tldr: [b][u]Highly[/u][/b] recommend Turtlebeach 500x's

Just don't buy Turtle Beach Stealth 500p. Good sounding headset, but made very, very cheaply. Read customer reviews on Amazon.com for any headsets that you may want to buy.

I use the Turtle Beach XO7 Pros. Just checked and they are down to $139. I got them for $175 new like 2 years ago. Great sound, comfortable, removable mic, can be used with other devices.

I'm using my Razer Kraken which I was surprised to learn worked on the PS4 by just plugging in the controller. Good quality and I can switch back to my computer with ease.

Astro a40's - have had the same pair for 6 years! The customer support is excellent. The headphones are top of the line!!
